McGee (elbow) signed a two-year, minor-league contract with the Brewers on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. McGee was given an invitation to major-league spring training as part of the deal, but he'll spend it rehabbing after undergoing Tommy John surgery in May. The 25-year-old doesn't figure to be game-ready until around the middle of the 2024 season, but he is now locked in with the Brewers through 2025.... See More ... See Less

Mariners' Easton McGee: Outrighted to Triple-A
The Mariners outrighted McGee (elbow) to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday. McGee underwent Tommy John surgery this past May and will likely be sidelined until July or August of 2024. The 25-year-old right-hander has made only two career appearances at the major-league level.... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Easton McGee: Moves to 60-day IL
McGee (elbow) was transferred from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Saturday. McGee is expected to be sidelined until late 2024 after undergoing Tommy John surgery last month. Bryan Woo will take over the vacant 40-man roster spot.... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Easton McGee: Slated for Tommy John surgery
McGee (forearm) is expected to undergo Tommy John surgery, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports. While a date for the procedure has not been scheduled, it looks like McGee is out for the remainder of the current campaign and at least a portion of the next one. A more accurate timeline for his recovery could be revealed after the operation has been performed.... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Easton McGee: Sidelined with forearm strain
The Mariners placed McGee on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a right forearm strain. McGee's move to the IL comes after he was brilliant in a spot start for Seattle in Saturday's 1-0 loss to Toronto, as he twirled 6.2 innings of shutout baseball. The rookie right-hander's arm was apparently hurting after the effort, however, and he'll now be sidelined for at least two weeks while while recovering from the strain. Outfielder Taylor Trammell (wrist) was activated off the injured list in a corresponding transaction.... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Easton McGee: Called up for start Saturday
McGee was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma and will start for the Mariners on Saturday in Toronto. Chris Flexen had been listed as the probable starter for Seattle, but McGee will instead get the call against a dangerous Blue Jays lineup. The 25-year-old right-hander was sporting a 3.14 ERA and 24:9 K:BB through 28.2 innings (five starts) this season at the Triple-A level. He's an iffy fantasy bet in the afternoon matchup at Rogers Centre, but there could be more favorable assignments ahead if he sticks around in Flexen's rotation spot.... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Easton McGee: Dispatched to minors
The Mariners optioned McGee to Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday. McGee was one of seven players Seattle sent out of big-league camp Sunday in the team's latest round of roster cuts. The 25-year-old right-hander is entering his first season in the Mariners organization after being acquired from the Red Sox in November. McGee, who received a cup of coffee in the majors with Tampa Bay in 2022, otherwise spent the entire 2022 campaign at Triple-A Durham, where he logged a 5.43 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 82:20 K:BB across 107.2 innings.... Red Sox's Easton McGee: Scooped up by BoSox
The Red Sox claimed McGee off waivers from the Rays on Wednesday. Boston didn't formally activate McGee prior to Wednesday's contest, so he won't be available out of the bullpen while the Red Sox close out their regular season Wednesday against the right-hander's former Rays organization. McGee made his big-league debut Sunday in Houston, giving up an unearned run in three innings out of the bullpen.... See More ... See Less -
Rays' Easton McGee: Booted off 40-man roster
The Rays designated McGee for assignment Monday. Even though he impressed while working three innings and allowing an unearned run in long relief in his MLB debut during Sunday's 3-1 loss to Houston, McGee finds himself as the latest victim of Tampa Bay's continual roster churn. The Rays selected the contract of right-hander Kevin Herget to replace McGee in the bullpen.... See More ... See Less
