The Yankees selected McAllister's contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday. It's a story in perseverance, as the 35-year-old McAllister hasn't pitched in the majors since 2018, having bounced around to six different organizations since then on minor-league deals. He has earned a promotion by posting a 1.62 ERA and 20:4 K:BB over 16.2 innings with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.... See More ... See Less

Erik Boland@eboland112D agoNever say never (obviously) but Scott Boras not taking a generational player into FA, just after he turns 26 btw, is unlikely at best. Throw in the strong likelihood of a Mets/Yankees bidding war that could take the contract to uncharted territory? Wouldn’t assume too much here..

River Ave. Blues@RiverAveBlues2D agoRyan Jeffers hit a leadoff home run is the series opener Tuesday night and the Twins didn't score again in the series. The Yankees are allowing only 3.31 runs per game, fewest in baseball and 0.16 runs better than the second place Dodgers. All this without Gerrit Cole.
