DELAND, Fla. (AP) Luke Doyle had 15 points and Divine Myles added 12 as Stetson had a strong run in the first half to take an early lead and finished with an 87-53 win over NAIA Ave Maria on Monday night.

Stetson (3-2) had a 19-0 run midway in the first period to take a 42-19 lead into the break. Ave Maria answered with a 14-3 sprint to start the second period and closed to 45-33. Keith Matthews' layup turned the momentum and started a 12-5 run for the Hatters. They pushed the advantage to 63-43 at the 7:25 mark after Myles hit two straight 3-point jumpers.

Doyle made 6 of 10 field-goal attempts and Myles drilled 4 of 6 from beyond the arc. Christiaan Jones added 11 points and Angel Rivera dished out eight assists for the Hatters who made 16 of 34 from distance.

Jovan Grujicic was the only Gyrenes to get into double figures with 12 points.
