  • Stars' Evgenii Dadonov: Collects assist in Game 6

Dadonov notched an assist, two shots on goal and four blocked shots in Friday's 2-1 double-overtime win over the Avalanche in Game 6.

Dadonov has turned up the offense with three points and eight shots on net over his last four outings. The winger set up Jamie Benn's game-tying goal early in the third period. Dadonov is up to six points, 16 shots, 14 hits, 13 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through 13 playoff appearances. Heading into the Western Conference Finals, the 35-year-old should be expected to remain in a third-line role.

  • Stars' Tyler Seguin: Slings helper Friday

Seguin logged an assist and two shots on goal in Friday's 2-1 double-overtime win over the Avalanche in Game 6.

Seguin appeared to be injured late in Wednesday's Game 5, but he was deemed fine a day later. The 32-year-old helped out on a Jamie Benn equalizer in the third period of Game 6. Through 13 playoff outings, Seguin has eight points, 39 shots on net, 18 hits and a plus-7 rating while filling a middle-six role.

  • Stars' Joe Pavelski: Sets up game-winner

Pavelski recorded an assist, two shots on goal and five hits in Friday's 2-1 double-overtime win over the Avalanche in Game 6.

Pavelski was able to poke the puck free from the skates of several Avalanche players in front of the net, and Matt Duchene buried the shot amid the chaos for the series-clinching goal. All four of Pavelski's points this postseason have come in the second round, three of which have come over the last two games. The 39-year-old has added 19 shots on net, 28 hits and a minus-1 rating over 13 playoff outings. If he's able to carry his recent momentum into the Western Conference Finals, the Stars could add another dynamic to their deep offense.

  • Stars' Jamie Benn: Nets equalizer Friday

Benn scored a goal on five shots and added three hits in Friday's 2-1 double-overtime win over the Avalanche in Game 6.

Benn had been held off the scoresheet in the last two games. He snapped the brief slump with a third-period tally Friday, tying the game at 1-1. The captain has three goals, five assists, 27 shots on net, 39 hits and a plus-1 rating over 13 playoff appearances while filling a middle-six role. Benn hasn't gone more than two contests without a point since a four-game stretch from Feb. 10-17.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Clinches series win

Duchene scored the game-winning goal in Friday's 2-1 double-overtime win over the Avalanche in Game 6.

Duchene was called for goaltender interference on a potential game-winner in the first overtime. That didn't dissuade him from sticking near the net, and he converted 11:42 into the second extra session after the puck popped loose from a scrum in front of the net. Through 13 playoff contests, Duchene has two goals, six points, 18 shots on net, 16 hits, 13 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating. He is filling in on a line with Jason Robertson and Joe Pavelski while Roope Hintz (upper body) recovers from an upper-body injury.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Seals series in double overtime

Oettinger stopped 29 of 30 shots in Friday's 2-1 double-overtime win over the Avalanche in Game 6.

Oettinger was tagged for five goals on 27 shots in Game 5, but he bounced back in a big way to secure the series win Friday. This was the fifth time in 13 games that he's limited an opponent to a single goal. Oettinger also hasn't lost consecutive games since his first two outings in the first round. He's locked in as the Stars' starter as they await the winner of the Canucks-Oilers series to join them in the Western Conference Finals.

  • Stars' Jake Oettinger: Set to start Friday

Oettinger is slated to guard the road goal against Colorado in Game 6 on Friday.

Oettinger will look to rebound after allowing five goals on 27 shots en route to a 5-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 5 on Wednesday. He's 7-5 with a 2.27 GAA and a .914 save percentage in 12 playoff appearances this year. The Avalanche are fantastic offensively, having ranked first in the regular season with 3.68 goals per contest, so they're likely to test Oettinger frequently in the upcoming clash.

  • Stars' Roope Hintz: Still missing Friday

Hintz (upper body) will remain unavailable for Game 6 versus Colorado on Friday, Corey Masisak of The Denver Post reports.

Hintz will be out of action for his second consecutive game due to his upper-body issue. Coach Peter DeBoer told reporters he was hopeful the 27-year-old center would be healthy in time for Game 7, if necessary. While Hintz has scored just one goal in his last seven outings, he has chipped in four helpers, including two with the man advantage. With Hintz out, Matt Duchene figures to continue anchoring the first line alongside Jason Robertson and Joe Pavelski.

  • Stars' Jani Hakanpaa: Unlikely to return in second round

Hakanpaa (lower body) is not traveling with the Stars or practicing, so it's unlikely he'll play in the remainder of the second round, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reported Thursday.

Hakanpaa has been unavailable since March 16 and is effectively out on an indefinite basis until he practices. With Hakanpaa continuing to be sidelined, Nils Lundkvist is holding down a third-pairing role with minimal ice time.

  • Stars' Tyler Seguin: Deemed fine after Game 5

Seguin (lower body) is considered fine after exiting Wednesday's Game 5 versus the Avalanche late in the third period, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Seguin should be available for Friday's Game 6. The 32-year-old played on the third line Wednesday, but he could see more ice time than that role would suggest if Roope Hintz (upper body) is unable to suit up Friday.

  • Stars' Tyler Seguin: Exits late in Game 5

Seguin sustained an apparent lower-body injury in the third period of Wednesday's Game 5 versus the Avalanche, Taylor Baird of NHL.com reports.

Seguin had two shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in 16:37 of ice time Wednesday. The Stars didn't have an update on his status, which isn't a surprise given it occurred late in the third period. More information should be available prior to Friday's Game 6 in Colorado.

  • Stars' Esa Lindell: Contributes assist in loss

Lindell posted an assist, four blocked shots, two hits and a minus-2 rating in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 5.

Lindell set up a Logan Stankoven tally in the third period. The helper was Lindell's second point of the postseason, both of which have come in the last four games. The veteran defenseman has added 17 shots on net, 17 hits, 30 blocks and an even plus-minus rating over 12 playoff contests while filling a top-four role.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Adds helper

Duchene logged an assist in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 5.

Duchene has managed three helpers over five games in the second round, but his goal drought is up to seven contests. The 33-year-old center got the bump up to the top line, replacing Roope Hintz (upper body) in that spot as head coach Pete DeBoer elected to keep Wyatt Johnston alongside Jamie Benn. Duchene has a modest five points with 14 shots on net, 14 hits, 12 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through 12 playoff outings.

Robertson recorded two assists, including one on the power play, in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 5.

Robertson helped out on the Stars' first two goals. The winger has returned to his playmaking roots with seven helpers over five games in the second round, with four of those assists coming on the power play. For the playoffs, he's earned 12 points, 23 shots on net, 22 hits, 16 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating through 12 appearances.

  • Stars' Logan Stankoven: Pots goal in loss

Stankoven scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 5.

Stankoven has found a groove with four points, including three goals, over his last three games. The 21-year-old's tally in the third period brought the Stars back within a goal, but they couldn't find an equalizer. He's up to six points, 24 shots on net, 19 hits, nine blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 12 playoff outings.

  • Stars' Miro Heiskanen: Strikes on power play in loss

Heiskanen scored a power-play goal and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 5.

  • Stars' Joe Pavelski: Awakens on offense

Pavelski scored a goal on three shots, dished a power-play assist and added two hits in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 5.

Pavelski opened the scoring at 9:03 of the first period and helped out on Miro Heiskanen's second-period marker. The goal was his first of the postseason, and this was Pavelski's first multi-point effort since March 28. He has three points, 17 shots on net, 23 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 12 contests. Getting the 39-year-old going on offense would be a nice boost for the Stars, who will try again to close out the Avalanche in Game 6 on Friday.
