Williams re-signed Saturday with the Raptors on a second 10-day contract, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Williams' initial 10-day deal expired earlier Saturday, but he quickly reached agreement with Toronto on a new deal to ensure that he'll be available for Sunday's season finale in Miami. Over the course of his first week and a half in the NBA, Williams appeared in six games (two starts) and averaged 2.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 15.8 minutes per contest. Malik Williams: Deal expires
Williams' 10-day contract with the Raptors expired Saturday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. The Raptors have just one more game left this season, so it remains to be seen if Williams will receive another 10-day contract ahead of Sunday's finale versus the Heat. Raptors' Malik Williams: Quality outing in start
Williams notched seven points (3-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt), 14 rebounds, one assist and two steals across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 106-102 loss to the Nets. Williams made just his fifth appearance and second start of the season for Toronto on Wednesday since signing a 10-day contract. Across his five outings, the 25-year-old big man is averaging 2.6 points and 6.0 rebounds in 15.2 minutes. Josh Lewenberg@JLew105014D agoWolves were in Toronto on opening night. Raptors held them to 94 pts & won. I came out of that game thinking Minnesota could have some trouble in a loaded Western Conference. Play-in, maybe? Yeah, I'll take the L on that one. Impressive run for a great team, and they're not done.
