Len closed Friday's 101-100 loss to the Celtics with zero points (0-1 FG) over three minutes. Len was barely noticeable in the loss, failing to score for the third time in the past five games. His role is typically limited to no more than 12 minutes per night, making him a non-factor, even in deeper formats. At best, he can be considered as a desperation source of blocks.... See More ... Kings' Alex Len: Tallies three blocks Saturday
Len chipped in zero points (0-2 FG), one rebound and three blocks in seven minutes during Saturday's 98-91 loss to New York. Len blocked a season-high three shots in the loss, albeit in a muted role of just seven minutes. Given he has failed to play more than 10 minutes in eight straight games, Len is not someone managers need to prioritize, even in deeper formats.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Not listed on injury report
Len (illness) isn't listed on Sacramento's injury report ahead of Monday's game versus the Heat. Len missed Sunday's game against the Clippers due to an illness but appears to have cleared the aliment. Before his absence, Len had appeared in five straight games, averaging 3.4 points and 2.6 rebounds in 9.0 minutes during that stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Out sick Sunday
Len (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Clippers Len's absence will leave Trey Lyles and JaVale McGee as candidates to absorb the backup center minutes behind starter Domantas Sabonis. The 30-year-old's next opportunity to take the court will come Monday against the Heat.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Questionable with illness
Len (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Clippers. Len has a very minor role with the Kings, playing an average of 8.0 minutes across six February appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Deployed as deep reserve in return
Len (ankle) logged two minutes in Tuesday's 130-113 loss to the Trail Blazers, recording no statistics during his time on the floor. All of Len's playing time came in the fourth quarter, when the outcome of the game was already decided. Though he's fully healthy again after missing six weeks with a high-ankle sprain, Len looks to be behind Domantas Sabonis, JaVale McGee and Trey Lyles on the depth chart at center.... See More ... Kings' Alex Len: Good to go
Len (ankle) is available for Tuesday's matchup against Portland. Len is available for the first time since Nov. 13. JaVale McGee was operating as the primary backup to Domantas Sabonis in Len's absence. In six appearances, Len has averaged 2.5 points and 2.7 rebounds in 7.0 minutes, so his availability shouldn't impact Sacramento's rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Upgraded to questionable
Len (ankle) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against Portland. Len has been out since Nov. 13 due to a high-ankle sprain, but rising to a questionable designation indicates that he's nearing a return. JaVale McGee has filled in admirably since Len's injury, improving Sacramento's defensive rating by 4.3 points per 100 possessions when he's on the court, although he's averaged just 4.7 points and 1.5 rebounds in 7.5 minutes across his last six appearances. Len's box score production won't turn heads either, but his familiarity with Sacramento's offensive system and ability to offer backup rim protection will be a relevant return for Sacramento's frontcourt.... Kings' Alex Len: Returns to practice
Len (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Frankie Cartoscelli of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports. Len hasn't played since Nov. 13 due to a right ankle sprain. While the veteran forward isn't expected to see game action for at least another week, his return to practice is a good sign of his availability in the near future.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Out 6-to-8 weeks
The Kings announced Friday that Len is expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks due to a right high-ankle sprain, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. Before missing the Kings' loss to the Lakers on Wednesday, Len had appeared in five straight games, but he logged no more than 13 minutes in any of those contests. His upcoming absence will reduce the Kings' depth at center behind Domantas Sabonis, though Trey Lyles (calf) should be ready to make his season debut soon and could end up claiming Len's vacated spot on the second unit.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Still sidelined Friday
Len (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Spurs. Len suffered a moderate high-ankle sprain Monday against the Cavaliers and will be unavailable for a second consecutive game. It wouldn't be surprising to see him sidelined beyond Friday, but his next chance to return will be Sunday in Dallas.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Won't play Wednesday
Len underwent an MRI on Tuesday that revealed he suffered a moderate high ankle sprain in Monday's game versus the Cavaliers, and he will be ruled out for Wednesday's matchup with the Lakers, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports. It wouldn't be surprising for Len to miss additional time due to his ankle injury, but his earliest opportunity to suit up will be Friday's contest against the Spurs. JaVale McGee will likely serve as Sacramento's backup center behind Domantas Sabonis in Len's absence.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Not practicing Tuesday
Len (ankle) did not practice Tuesday, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports. Len was forced to exit early in Monday's win over Cleveland after suffering an ankle sprain. His inability to practice Tuesday bodes poorly for his availability Wednesday against the Lakers.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Exits with ankle injury
Len left Monday's game against the Cavaliers due to a right ankle injury and won't return, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports. Len appeared to suffer the injury on a collision with an opposing player, and he was unable to place any weight on his right foot while exiting the court. The big man was taken to the locker room for further evaluation, and the team has since announced that he's been shut down for the rest of the night. Expect JaVale McGee to pick up additional minutes in the second half with Len out of commission.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Solid contributions in OT win
Len closed Wednesday's 121-118 overtime win over Portland with 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-5 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 13 minutes. Len hasn't been a consistent part of the Kings' rotation early in the season, but he played double-digit minutes for the first time this year during Wednesday's overtime win. While Len showed some promise against the Trail Blazers, it seems unlikely that he'll be able to maintain his production unless Sacramento deals with absences at some point.... See More ... Kings' Alex Len: Re-signs with Kings
Len re-signed with the Kings on a one-year, $3.2 million deal Saturday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Len will return to his backup role for Sacramento behind Domantas Sabonis. He made just 26 appearances (six starts) in 2022-23, averaging 1.7 points and 2.3 rebounds across 6.2 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Four fouls in eight minutes
Len registered two points (2-2 FT), three rebounds and one block in eight minutes during Thursday's 114-97 loss to the Warriors in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals. Len impressively racked up four fouls in just eight minutes, playing some backup center minutes with very little success. The fact his foul tally was his most productive category tells you everything you need to know, both for this game and moving forward.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Retreats to bench
Len isn't starting Sunday against the Nuggets. Len drew the start Friday against the Warriors and totaled five points, six rebounds, two assists and a block in 16 minutes. However, he'll head to the bench with Domantas Sabonis back in action Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Startings sans Sabonis
Len is in the starting five for Friday's game versus the Warriors, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. Len will replace Domantas Sabonis (ankle) in the starting lineup Friday. Len tallied two points and four rebounds in 14 minutes during his only other start this season back in December.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Alex Len: Serves as backup center
Len played 16 minutes in Wednesday's 120-80 victory over the Trail Blazers, finishing with five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, two steals and one block. Though he's been buried on the depth chart all season and has typically been the fourth-string center behind Domantas Sabonis, Chimezie Metu and Richaun Holmes, Len surprising got the first call off the bench when Sabonis received his first breather late in the first quarter. Len made the most of his court time and was a plus-29 during his minutes, good for the third-best mark on the team. While he won't get enough playing time to make for a usable streaming option when Sabonis is available, Len may have at least temporarily captured a rotation role.... See More ... See Less
