The Cowboys re-signed Goodwin (pectoral) on a one-year deal Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Goodwin sustained a torn pectoral in early October that forced him to miss all but five of the Cowboys' games in 2023, but it seems as if he's now past the issue. The 34-year-old cornerback was used almost exclusively on special teams last season, playing a total of 102 snaps (86 on special teams) and recording four total tackles. Expect Goodwin to compete for a similar role in Dallas' special-teams unit this offseason.... See More ... See Less

Goodwin (forearm) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News reports. Cowboys' C.J. Goodwin: To undergo surgery
Goodwin fractured his forearm in Sunday's loss to the Redskins and is set to undergo surgery Tuesday, Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News reports. Goodwin was picked up by the Cowboys prior to Week 6, but failed to take the field. He accumulated one solo tackle in Sunday's outing before injuring his forearm. It is now just a matter of time before the team places him on injured reserve. As a depth corner who was seeing his first playing time of the season, his absence is not likely to impact anyone else's playing time.... See More ... See Less -
Cowboys' C.J. Goodwin: Exits game with forearm injury
Goodwin is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Redskins due to a forearm injury, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports. C.J. Goodwin: Cut by Atlanta
The Falcons released Goodwin on Thursday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Goodwin tumbled down the depth chart after he was exposed in coverage while substituting for an injured Desmond Trufant in a Nov. 26 win over the Buccaneers, with Blidi Wreh-Wilson entering the lineup in Goodwin's stead the following week. With the Falcons unwilling to bring Goodwin back into the cornerback rotation, the team signed Deja Olatoye in a corresponding move to restore depth in the secondary.... See More ... See Less -
Falcons' C.J. Goodwin: Sidelined Wednesday
Goodwin (hamstring) was a non-participant at the Falcons' practice Wednesday, Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports. Goodwin sustained the hamstring injury in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks.
