  • White Sox's Erick Fedde: Yields four runs in no-decision

Fedde did not factor into the decision in Friday's 12-5 loss to Milwaukee, allowing four runs on nine hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out eight.

Fedde's start offered a mix bag as he allowed a season-high 13 baserunners but also managed to provide eight punchouts. The 31-year-old right-hander has been a surprising source of strikeouts as he's generated 66 in 69.1 total innings. With this four-run outing, his ERA now stands at 3.12 to go along with a 1.18 WHIP. Fedde is tentatively scheduled to make his next start against the Red Sox at home next week.

  • White Sox's Erick Fedde: Sharp in Saturday's quality start

Fedde came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-3 loss to Baltimore, allowing three hits and three walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.

The right-hander baffled the O's over 103 pitches (64 strikes) and left the mound with the White Sox ahead 3-0, only to see Jordan Leasure and Michael Kopech serve up three homers between them in the eighth inning. Fedde has delivered three scoreless outings in his last four starts, giving him five quality starts on the season, and he sports a stunning 2.80 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 58:18 K:BB through 64.1 innings -- a far cry from the 5.41 ERA and 1.52 WHIP he compiled in 454.1 innings for the Nationals prior to spending 2023 in the KBO. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Milwaukee.

  • White Sox's Erick Fedde: Tagged for five runs in loss

Fedde (4-1) took the loss Monday against Toronto, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out two.

Fedde got hit hard in his start, as five of the seven hits he yielded went for extra bases. Despite the rough outing, the 31-year-old righty sports a 3.10 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 52:15 K:BB over 58 innings this season. Fedde is slated to face Baltimore at home in his next start this weekend.

  • White Sox's Erick Fedde: Brilliant in revenge game

Fedde (4-0) picked up the win in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, scattering three hits over seven scoreless innings in a 4-0 victory. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Facing the team he spent the first six seasons of his MLB career with before pitching in the KBO in 2023, Fedde showed the Nats what they were missing, tossing 60 of 99 pitches for strikes as he delivered a second straight scoreless effort and his fourth quality start of the year. The 31-year-old right-hander will take a 2.60 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 50:14 K:BB through 52 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come early next week in Toronto.

  • White Sox's Erick Fedde: Bounces back with scoreless outing

Fedde (3-0) earned the win over Cleveland on Thursday, allowing six hits and striking out three batters over six scoreless innings.

It appeared Fedde's surprising effectiveness to begin the campaign could be coming to an end after he gave up five runs over 4.1 frames versus St. Louis his last time out, but he rebounded strongly with six scoreless innings Thursday. All six hits against the right-hander were singles, but he did need a little help to escape without a run on his ledger, as Jordan Leasure held off the Guardians after relieving Fedde with no outs and the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning. Fedde's poor career track record provides a logical reason for fantasy managers to question how long he can keep pitching well, but he's exceeded expectations so far with a 3.00 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 44:14 K:BB through 45 innings covering eight starts.

  • White Sox's Erick Fedde: Folds against Cards

Fedde escaped with a no-decision Saturday in a 6-5 extra-inning win over the Cardinals, giving up five runs on four hits and five walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

The right-hander blanked St. Louis for four innings despite issuing free passes in the first, second and fourth frames, but his luck ran out in the fifth. Fortunately for Fedde, the White Sox came back to tie the game up after he left the mound before winning in the 10th. Fedde threw only 48 of 91 pitches for strikes in his shortest outing of the season, and he has walked at least three batters in three of his last five starts. He'll take a 3.46 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 41:14 K:BB through 39 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Guardians.
