Tellez went 3-for-4 with a two-RBI double, and two RBI singles during Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays.

Tellez hadn't logged an RBI since May 5 and had driven in three batters since April 4. He bested that total Sunday, plating all four of the Pirates' runs and reaching safely in four of his five plate appearances. Prior to Sunday's contest, Tellez had generated four hits in 40 at-bats with one walk.

Soler went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Yankees.

This was Soler's first multi-hit effort since May 22, and he went just 4-for-27 over the eight contests in between. The 32-year-old briefly got a look at leadoff in May, but he's since returned to the middle of the Giants' order. He's yet to find a groove for any extended period in 2024, slashing .215/.294/.372 with six home runs, 16 RBI, 22 runs scored and eight doubles over 48 contests.

Schmitt went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Yankees.

With Marco Luciano (hamstring) landing on the injured list Friday, Schmitt has a chance to make shortstop his own in June. This was Schmitt's second game in a row in the lineup -- he started versus right-hander Cody Poteet on Saturday and stayed in the starting nine versus southpaw Nestor Cortes on Sunday. Through eight games this season, Schmitt has two homers, five RBI and two runs scored over 30 plate appearances. Brett Wisely has also been an option at shortstop lately, and both Schmitt and Wisely offer utility upside if the Giants opt to get creative with their lineup decisions.

Priester (0-5) took the loss Sunday against Toronto, allowing four runs on eight hits and no walks across 4.2 innings. He struck out three.

After a roughly two-week stint at Triple-A Indianapolis, Priester was called up to fill Martin Perez's (groin) spot in the Pirates' rotation. While the 24-year-old didn't surrender a homer or a walk, he yielded four runs for a third time this season. Although Perez is set to miss at least two more starts, it's unclear if Priester did enough Sunday to be kept around. If Priester is awarded another start, it would likely come Saturday against the Twins at PNC Park.

Schneemann went 1-for-3 with a two-run double in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Nationals.

Schneemann made his major-league debut Sunday, and it didn't take him long to add a couple other milestones. He produced a two-run double in his first at-bat, providing all of the Guardians' run production in the contest. The 27-year-old is likely to take on a utility role -- he started at second base Sunday but likely won't see much time there with Andres Gimenez in a starting role at the keystone. Schneemann's best paths to playing time will likely be right field or shortstop, as Will Brennan and Brayan Rocchio haven't hit particularly well despite seeing large roles this season.

Rutschman went 3-for-5 with one RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Rays.

Rutschman had a brief cold spell a couple of weeks ago, but he's bounced back well. He's hit safely in six straight games, going 9-for-25 (.360) in that span. The catcher is slashing .304/.342/.473 with 10 home runs, 38 RBI, 30 runs scored and one stolen base over 54 contests this season. He was given more regular rest in late May, which may help him stay fresher as the Orioles enter a busy stretch of their schedule.

Bassitt (6-6) picked up the win Sunday, allowing three runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings against the Pirates. He struck out seven.

Bassitt didn't seem to be held back at all after leaving his previous start with neck spasms, tossing 100 pitches Sunday and picking up his third straight victory. The 35-year-old has been part of the decision in all 12 of his starts this season and hasn't yielded more than three runs in an outing since April 26. During that stretch, Bassitt is 4-2 with a 2.83 ERA across 35.0 innings. He's scheduled to make his next appearance Friday at Oakland.

Tate (2-1) allowed two runs on four hits and struck out one over 1.1 innings to take the loss and a blown save Sunday versus the Rays.

Tate ran into trouble in the eighth inning and ultimately gave up a two-run double to Jose Siri. This left Tate with the loss while also ending his 10-inning scoreless streak at the major-league level. The right-hander has a 2.79 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 11:6 K:BB over 19.1 innings this season. While he doesn't have a save or a hold in 2024, he should continue to be an option for occasional high-leverage spots.

Gelof went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's 3-1 loss to Atlanta.

Gelof put up the A's only tally Sunday, swatting a game-tying homer off Dylan Lee in the seventh inning. The long ball was Gelof's fourth of the season, and his first since April 22. The second baseman finishes the three-game series with Atlanta 3-for-11 (.273) with three extra-base hits, two RBI and three runs.

Stott went 1-for-4 with two RBI, two stolen bases and one walk in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Cardinals.

Stott has had trouble getting on base lately -- he's 5-for-44 (.114) with two walks over his last 12 games -- but he's managed to steal four bases in that span. He played a more noticeable role Sunday with a two-run single to tie the game at 4-4 in the fifth inning. Those RBI were his first since May 21. The infielder is slashing .239/.340/.372 with 16 steals, five home runs, 32 RBI and 31 runs scored over 55 contests this season.
