The Mets claimed Adcock off waivers from the Tigers on Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse. Adcock was DFA'd by the Tigers on Saturday, but he will reclaim a spot on a 40-man roster as he moves to New York. The 27-year-old righty has allowed eight earned runs across 8.1 innings between the Mariners' and Tigers' Triple-A affiliates, and a significant turnaround would likely be necessary before Adcock receives a call-up to the majors.... Tigers' Ty Adcock: Designated for assignment
Adcock was designated for assignment by the Tigers on Saturday. Adcock will now be placed on waivers, and if he goes unclaimed, he'll likely remain with Triple-A Toledo. The team claimed Easton Lucas from the Athletics on Saturday and Adcock was the odd man out on the 40-man roster.... See More ... See Less -
Tigers' Ty Adcock: Scooped up by Detroit
The Tigers claimed Adcock off waivers from the Mariners on Monday and optioned him to Triple-A Toledo. Adcock had been designated for assignment and is now on the move to a new organization. Mariners' Ty Adcock: Sent to Triple-A
Seattle optioned Adcock to Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports. Adcock made his spring training debut March 5 after dealing with an undisclosed injury. He's played in two games and has given up three runs on three hits while striking out one over five innings. Adcock worked out of the Mariners bullpen last season and appeared in 12 games, but he will start the 2024 season in Triple-A and look to work his way back to the majors.... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Ty Adcock: Getting closer to game action
Adcock (undisclosed) has been throwing live batting practices on the backfields and could make his Cactus League debut this week, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports. The young right-hander was impressive across his first 12 big-league appearances in 2023, with Adcock posting a 3.45 ERA and 0.70 WHIP across 15.2 innings. While he did have trouble keeping the ball in the park (2.3 HR/9), Adcock also showed impressive location for a player who'd never pitched about the Double-A level before his mid-June promotion. "Ty Adcock throws strikes," Servais said when asked Sunday morning what stood out about him. "For a guy who pitched about 28 professional innings before he got to the big leagues, that's kind of unheard of."... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Ty Adcock: Optioned to minors
Adcock was optioned to Double-A Arkansas on Wednesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports. Adcock has a nice 3.45 ERA and 11:4 K:BB over 15.2 innings since being promoted last month. However, he had pitched each of the last two nights, including two innings Tuesday, so he's being sent out in favor of a fresh arm.... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Ty Adcock: Selected from Double-A
The Mariners selected Adcock from Double-A Arkansas on Monday, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports. With Penn Murfee (elbow) headed back to the injured list, the Mariners will call on Adcock to fill Murfee's spot in the bullpen. The 26-year-old righty has been impressive in Double-A, logging a 2.08 ERA, 0.62 WHIP, two saves and 13 strikeouts in 13 innings across 12 appearances. Robbie Ray (elbow) was moved to the 60-day injured list to make room for Adcock on the 40-man roster.... See More ... See Less
