Phillips tallied 92 tackles (44 solo), 3.0 sacks and two passes defended during his 2023 season. Phillips continued to shine in his second season in Minnesota, expanding on his increased role upon his arrival from Buffalo in 2022. His 92 total tackles were a career high, by a significant margin, besting his 59 from 2022. His 3.0 sacks also outdid his previous high of 1.5 from last season. The 27-year-old is under contract for one more year and should return to his role as the team's primary nose tackle in the next campaign.... See More ... See Less

Vikings' Harrison Phillips: Questionable for Sunday
Phillips (back) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions. The veteran nose tackle could be trending in the right direction to play Sunday, as he's gone from two DNPs to open Minnesota's week of practice to a limited session Friday. If Phillips is unable to suit up in Week 16, Khyiris Tonga would likely see increased snaps on the Vikings' defensive line.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Harrison Phillips: Managing back injury
Phillips (back) was estimated as a non-participant for Wednesday's walk-through practice due to a back injury. Phillips is nursing the back injury after playing 53 snaps and recording two tackles in the Vikings' 27-24 overtime loss to the Bengals in Week 15. If he's able to upgrade to full participation in practice by Friday, he should head into Sunday's game against the Lions without a designation.... See More ... See Less -
Bills' Harrison Phillips: Quicker-than-expected recovery
Phillips was back at practice Wednesday after missing time with a knee injury, Mark Gaughan of The Buffalo News reports. Phillips had been a candidate for IR to begin the season, but general manager Brandon Beane stated Wednesday that the lineman is one of the players who may avoid that designation. While the fourth-year player out of Stanford isn't much of an IDP guy, he's a decent run stopper and can only help as the Steelers try to run the ball against the Bills' high-powered squad in Week 1, assuming of course Phillips keeps progressing and can be active for the game.... Bills' Harrison Phillips: Slated to be healthy scratch
Phillips is expected to be a healthy scratch Monday versus the Chiefs, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. The Bills are expected to bench both Phillips and Trent Murphy on Monday as they try to shake things up following a tough loss to the Titans. Phillips typically logs around 45 percent of the defensive snaps, but now Quinton Jefferson, Mario Addison and to a lesser extent Darryl Johnson will need to step up Monday.... See More ... Bills' Harrison Phillips: Ready for promotion
Phillips, who recently completed his rookie season after being the Bills' third-round pick out of Stanford, is the likeliest candidate to take over for the open starting defensive tackle job, Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News reports. "Harrison will compete. He did a good job in year one," general manager Brandon Beane said. "He'll compete to definitely start. I can't say he'll win it, but Harrison did a great job of bringing depth to us last year." The Bills did re-sign Jordan Phillips -- who will also compete for the job -- on Tuesday, while there's also a ton of free cap money available to beef up the defensive line following the retirement of longtime starter Kyle Williams, among other positions. Even if he has to share the starting job, Harrison Phillips seems a sure bet to take a step up from his 20-tackle rookie season, while he's still looking for his first NFL sack.... See More ...
