Baez went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Red Sox, dropping his season batting average to .190.

It looked like Baez was maybe turning things around when he recorded seven hits across two games on May 17 and 18. However, he's gone just 4-for-33 in nine games since then, and he's hitless over his last three contests. The shortstop's .190 average would be his worst since he batted .169 across 52 games as a 21-year-old rookie back in 2014. Baez's time in Detroit has been disastrous so far, and it doesn't appear it'll get much better anytime soon.

Swanson went 1-for-3 with a walk, a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 7-5 win against Cincinnati.

Swanson started June off on the right foot after only going deep once in 17 games all of last month. The shortstop has only five total home runs this season, but he also missed some time with knee soreness, which likely contributed to the slow start. If fully healthy, Swanson has the ability to get going in the power department, as he hit 20 or more long balls in each of the last three seasons with the Cubs and Atlanta.

Perdomo (knee) started at shortstop and went 1-for-3 with a run scored for the Diamondbacks' entry in the Arizona Complex League on Saturday.

Perdomo, who played five innings in the field, made his second ACL appearance after getting four at-bats Friday as the designated hitter. The organization's plan calls for Perdomo to finish out the weekend in the ACL then move to a minor-league affiliate. A return later in the week is a possibility.

Alexander started at second base and went 2-for-5 with a stolen base, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-5 win over the Mets.

Alexander made his first start in five days and had a hand in both runs scored in the sixth inning. After singling in a run, he stole second base, advanced to third on a wild pitch then scored on a throwing error by the catcher. Alexander's playing time dwindled during May -- a month in which he batted .184 with just 38 at-bats -- and he could be in danger of losing a roster spot once Geraldo Perdomo (knee) returns.

Schuemann went 4-for-4 with an RBI single, a double and three runs in a win over Atlanta on Saturday.

The rookie shortstop was a thorn in the side of Atlanta pitching, putting together a stellar performance out of the bottom of the order. Schuemann gave his average a 28-point boost to .266 with the multi-hit effort, his third in the last eight contests. He's also scored at least one run in five consecutive games, and his prolific effort Saturday also marked his first game over the last eight without a strikeout.

Bliss went 1-for-2 with two walks, two stolen bases and three runs in a 9-0 win against the Angels on Saturday.

Bliss made a big contribution from the No. 9 slot in the batting order, reaching base three times and scoring three of the Mariners' nine runs. The infielder probably wasn't in many fantasy lineups, but he made a big impact for managers who rolled with him by swiping a pair of bags. Speed is a big part of Bliss's game -- he swiped 28 bags in 50 games for Triple-A Tacoma this season after stealing 55 bases in 70 attempts in the minors last year.

Schmitt went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Yankees.

Schmitt got the Giants on the board in the third inning in his first game since his recall Friday and his seventh contest at the big-league level season. He's gone 5-for-26 (.192) with two extra-base hits and three RBI. Schmitt will be an option at shortstop primarily, but he also has experience at second and third, so he may settle into a utility role while in the majors.

Crawford went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and a walk in Saturday's 9-0 win over the Angels.

The Mariners held a narrow 1-0 lead before Crawford broke things open with his fourth-inning grand slam. It was the fourth grand slam of his career and his fourth homer for Seattle this season. Each of Crawford's past four hits have gone for extra bases (three doubles, one homer).

Kim went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, three RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Royals.

Kim led off the third inning with a triple before coming around to score on a Luis Arraez sacrifice fly. He'd then provide what proved to be the game-deciding hit in the fourth, driving in three runs with a base-clearing double to put the Padres ahead 5-3. Kim's now 4-for-10 with three extra-base hits in his last three games. After a slow start to the year, he's gotten his slash line up to .222/.332/.384 with seven homers, 31 runs scored, 27 RBI and 13 steals across 60 contests.

Abrams was scratched from the Nationals' lineup prior to Saturday's game against the Guardians.

Abrams said that he jammed his shoulder while making a diving play during Friday's loss, per Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com, and it seems to be bothering him enough Saturday to warrant a day off. While Abrams recovers, Ildemaro Vargas will take over at shortstop and bat eighth.
