Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen Rooney welcomed their third child to the world on Monday, and Twitter went nuts over the name. The Rooney family chose the name "Kit" for their son, who weighed 8 pounds, 1 oz.

Now, I'm all for the name "Kit." I had a professor in college with that name, and he was a fantastic professor from England and big fan of Tranmere Rovers. But his "Kit" came from Christopher. The Rooneys took a short cut and just named him "Kit," and plenty of people spoke out on Twitter.
Wayne Rooney's third child is called Kit. He actually manufactured a third kit.

I can't believe Wayne Rooney has named his son 'Kit.' The potential for ending up in the washing machine due to a misunderstanding is huge.

Nothing is wrong with an interesting name, as long as it's not too extreme. Take it easy on the guy and send him congrats.
Despite all this, the best name in soccer likely still belongs to FIFA presedential candidate Tokyo Sexwale.
