Talk about taking matters into your own hands. During Wednesday's Champions League women's match between Chelsea and Juventus, a fan ran onto the pitch and attempted to take a few selfies with some of the players. Chelsea striker Sam Kerr noticed the fan on the pitch and decided to body check the fan because stadium security wasn't taking any action.
Kerr ended up getting a running start before giving the man a hard shoulder to the chest. He crumbled to the ground and security eventually got out there and was able to run the trespasser off of the pitch.
Here's a look at how it all went down (Warning: the video contains graphic language)

While some might have seen what Kerr did as heroic, the referees didn't. She was actually given a yellow card by an official for her decision to take out the fan.
The official didn't think that Kerr's actions benefitted everyone on the pitch. The fan clearly didn't cause any harm to any of the players, but no one, including Kerr, wanted to take any chances.
It'll be interesting to see if the Champions League eventually rescinds the yellow card as Chelsea is attempting to make it to the knockout stage. Wednesday's match finished in a 0-0 draw.
