In Mexico, it's called a pesadilla.
'El Tri' put together a nightmare performance against Chile on Saturday night in the Copa America quarterfinals as they trailed 5-0 before the match was an hour old and ended up losing 7-0.
Chile scored in the 16th, 44th, 49th, 52nd and 57th minute to send the Mexico fans in Santa Clara, California into a state of shock and disbelief, before adding two more goals later on. Eduardo Vargas scored four times, as Mexico was simply obliterated.
Outclassed and outpaced, Mexico struggled to defend Chile's talented attackers as a unit and it showed with the four goals in 13 minutes.
