Paris Saint-Germain travel to Girondins de Bordeaux's Matmut Atlantique on Saturday looking to maintain their 10-point lead at the Ligue 1 summit after RC Lens thumped ESTAC Troyes on Friday night. Lionel Messi will be absent once more having missed the 2-2 midweek draw with RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League after being substituted during the 2-1 win over Lille OSC in Le Championnat last time out. Hosts Bordeaux are 16th at present and just three points above the relegation places.

Storylines
FCGB: Vladimir Petkovic's side snapped a five-match winless run last time out against Stade de Reims but overall, it has been an extremely difficult start to the season with Les Girondins averaging a point per game so far which keeps them just above the relegation zone. Considering their brush with liquidation over the summer, they would have signed up to be in this position come November, but they are far from positionally secure at present.

PSG: Mauricio Pochettino's men were fortunate to return from Germany with a point against Leipzig but have still won three of their last five matches domestically in what could be called a rocky patch having lost once and drawn another. Lens' win over Troyes cuts PSG's lead to seven points and the last time they went away just before an international break, they lost on the road to Stade Rennais.
Prediction
Les Parisiens to overcome Les Girondins with relative ease to alleviate some of the pressure on Pochettino. The hosts may well offer stiff resistance for a period but there is only so long that they will be able to keep the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar at bay with both in need of form in front of goal. Pick: FCGB 1-3 PSG.
