Lavelle also tallied three assists on the night.

Rapid attack

The USWNT got off to a quick start with their opening goal coming just four minutes into the match, as Casey Krueger delivered a service into the box and Lavelle headed away the breakthrough goal.

Smith scored just two minutes later, with an impressive build-up that began with Pugh winning the ball and connecting with Lavelle. Smith was fed in the box for her first-ever international goal with the senior team.

The U.S. put up five goals in the opening 15 minutes of the match against the Paraguayan side, before heading into halftime with another lopsided lead. Ultimately putting the game away before it ever had a chance to truly begin.

Second-half shift

Morgan completed her hat trick in the second half with a third goal in the 53rd minute. It was her 114th goal all-time for the USWNT as climbed to fifth all-time among USWNT goal scorers.

A quadruple line of substitutions at the hour mark brought Lloyd into the match along with Lynn Williams, Kelley O'Hara, and Becky Sauerbrunn. Tobin Heath and Kristie Mewis subbed into the match in the 71st minute.

It was another lopsided match between the two sides as Lloyd scored the seventh goal for the USWNT, and added to her all-time record with her 134th goal for the national team. Macario ended the evening with a brace for the U.S. and the eighth goal for the team against Paraguay.

The USWNT currently has two additional post-Olympic matches scheduled for October against South Korea. The games will serve as the final two matches in a retirement farewell to Lloyd who plans on stepping away from the game after she concludes her NWSL club season with NJ/NY Gotham FC this fall.
