AC Milan vs. Juventus score: Old Lady's struggles worsen as Fikayo Tomori, Brahim Diaz goals power Rossoneri

It's another important win for AC Milan at home against Juventus as the Rossoneri managed to get the full three points against Massimiliano Allegri's side in a 2-0 victory. AC Milan are currently leading the Serie A table with 20 points alongside Napoli and Atalanta, who will play their respective games on Sunday. Juventus, on the other hand, are stuck with 13 points after nine games.

Despite a quite good start to the match, Juventus didn't manage to score the opening goal at San Siro and Pioli's team waited for their moment with Rafael Leao who hit twice the post in first half. It was Fikayo Tomori who scored the opening goal of the game at San Siro at the end of the first half. The second half started as the first one ended, with AC Milan more in control of the game and Brahim Diaz managed to squeeze through the Juventus defense to score the second goal of the day just after the hour mark. From that moment on the game was destined to go only one possible destination, a win for the Rossoneri.

Pioli's team bounces back strong

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli has to be satisfied about today's game, especially after the disappointing UEFA Champions League's loss away against Chelsea (3-0). With the comeback of Theo Hernandez, AC Milan showed once again the intensity they need to perform in these kind of matches. Also, with Matteo Gabbia starting in defense alongside Tomori, the Rossoneri demonstrated that they have the depth they need with roll players that don't play often in such important games stepping up. Diaz, was another important factor as after some disappointing performances in the past weeks he stepped up with a marvelous run for his goal. Pioli should be satisfied, not only for the three points scored, but because AC Milan showed that they are fully back on track after the UCL match of the last week. On Tuesday the Rossoneri will have their chance to build momentum and to show a stronger performance against Chelsea at San Siro.

Allegri still without answers

After two consecutive wins against Bologna and Maccabi Haifa, Juventus lost their second Serie A match of the season but only have 13 points after nine games. A disappointing start of the season for Massimiliano Allegri, even if the Bianconeri started off quite well the match but didn't manage to score. Juventus managed five shots in the first 21 minutes and then didn't take another one for the next 50 minutes as Milan put the game away. Striker Arek Milik showed, once again, that he's the best forward that Allegri has on the roster as of now, after another disappointing performance from Dusan Vlahovic who didn't have a single shot. American international Weston McKennie came in in the second half but his impact was not satisfying at all. It is clear that this team is still full of issues that Allegri is trying to solve, especially in the attacking side of the pitch. After nine games, Juventus have only won three games, drew four and lost two matches.
