Michkov is the third rookie to get to 50 points this season. He's earned three helpers over his last two contests following a six-game skid. The rookie winger has 20 goals, 30 assists, 166 shots on net and a minus-15 rating through 70 appearances. Michkov's talent has been evident from the get-go, though he's been prone to some slumps while playing on a more defensive-minded team -- the Flyers are 26th in the league with 2.71 goals per game.

Flyers' Matvei Michkov: Snaps skid with helper

Michkov scored at 17:18 of the third period. He came down the left wing and ended Eric Comrie's shutout bid with a shot from the left face-off circle. Michkov was named the NHL's Rookie of the Month for February after leading all rookies with five goals and 10 points in seven games. Like any rookie, the talented 20-year-old is prone to ups and downs, and those will be highlighted further by head coach John Tortorella's style of holding players accountable for their play in all three zones.
