Senators' Tyler Kleven: Logs first point of season
Kleven notched an assist and two hits in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Avalanche.
The helper was Kleven's first point in eight games this season, matching his output from nine NHL contests in 2023-24. The 22-year-old defenseman has been a regular on the Senators' third pairing as one of three left-shot blueliners on the roster. He's added nine shots on net, 15 hits, 11 blocked shots, four PIM and a plus-1 rating. Kleven is unlikely to score enough to help in fantasy, but he's racking up plenty of production in the physical categories.

Senators' Tyler Kleven: Sent to AHL
Kleven was demoted to AHL Belleville on Friday.
Kleven was pointless in four games during his recent recall. The defenseman has one assist in nine NHL games this season, averaging 12:39 of ice time. Look for Thomas Chabot (lower body) to take Kleven's spot in the lineup Saturday against New Jersey.

Senators' Tyler Kleven: Called up from minors
Kleven was elevated from AHL Belleville on Thursday.
Kleven's promotion doesn't bode well for the availability of Thomas Chabot (lower body) against the Blackhawks on Thursday. Even with Kleven joining the team, he is far from a lock for a spot in the lineup, as Travis Hamonic figures to have the inside track if someone needs to be called upon. Still, Kleven does offer some offensive upside with 17 points in 45 minor-league contests this season.

Kleven was assigned to AHL Belleville on Sunday.
Kleven has one assist, two shots on goal, four blocked shots and two hits in five appearances with Ottawa this season. He also has two helpers in four AHL contests this campaign. Kleven could be back with the big club prior to Friday's matchup with the Islanders.

Kleven earned an assist in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Maple Leafs.
Kleven is currently up with the Senators, as the parent club remains thin on the blue line due to injuries for Erik Brannstrom (concussion), Artem Zub (upper body) and Thomas Chabot (hand). Last year, Kelven averaged 1:03 of ice time on the power play over the first eight games of his NHL career, but he's yet to seize such an opportunity this campaign. It's best to take a wait-and-see approach with Kelven since he's just 21 years old with his playing time currently dependent on the health of others.
