Malott signed a two-year, $775,000 AAV deal with Los Angeles on Monday.
Malott has primarily spent the last four years with AHL Manitoba and has appeared in only one NHL game. He's scored 157 points in 237 career regular-season AHL contests. Malott will likely spend most of the 2024-25 campaign at the AHL level as well.

Jets' Jeff Malott: Goes on waivers
Malott was waived Sunday for the purpose of assignment to AHL Manitoba.
Malott racked up 23 goals, 44 points and 82 PIM in 71 AHL outings with the Moose last campaign. He will probably spent most, if not all, of the 2023-24 season in the minors.

Jets' Jeff Malott: Receives two-year contract
Malott signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Jets on Thursday, per CapFriendly.
Malott made his NHL debut last season, but he spent the bulk of the year with AHL Manitoba. With the Moose, he recorded 23 goals and 18 assists in 62 contests. He could be a depth option for the Jets going forward, but it's likely the forward spends most of his time in the minors.
