Aho scored a shorthanded goal on four shots and added two PIM in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Blue Jackets.
Aho tallied at 8:28 of the first period to open the scoring while Jesperi Kotkaniemi was serving a double-minor for high-sticking. The goal was Aho's first since Nov. 25 versus the Stars, but he had seven assists over eight contests between tallies. The 27-year-old center is up to eight goals, 31 points (13 on the power play, two shorthanded), 80 shots on net, 24 hits, 24 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 30 outings this season.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Dishes two assists in win
Aho notched two assists and three shots on goal in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche.
Aho set up a power-play tally by Seth Jarvis in the second period as well as Andrei Svechnikov's empty-netter in the third. While he hasn't scored in five games, Aho has five assists (four on the power play) in that span to keep his offense humming. The star center is up to 28 points (12 on the power play), 68 shots on net, 24 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-6 rating over 26 outings this season, and he's not even near his best in the goal-scoring department.

Aho had a four-game point streak snapped Saturday in Florida, but he continues to avoid multi-game slumps. He's gotten on the scoresheet in 18 of 25 contests this season, totaling seven goals, 19 helpers, 11 power-play points, 65 shots on net, 24 hits and 22 PIM. Aho is the keystone of the Hurricanes' offense as the first-line center and one of the team's most productive players.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Leads comeback with four points
Aho scored a goal and added three assists, one on the power play and one shorthanded, in Monday's 6-4 win over the Stars.
With the Hurricanes staring at a 3-1 deficit heading into the third period, Aho got the comeback started by banging home a feed from Seth Jarvis just 70 seconds into the final frame. It's Aho's third multi-point performance in the last four games, supercharging a strong November that has seen the 27-year-old ring up four goals and 14 points in 12 contests.

The 27-year-old center broke a 1-1 tie just 63 seconds into the third period by stealing the puck along the boards in the Philly end, cutting to the slot and firing a quick shot that trickled past Ivan Fedotov. Aho had the primary assist on Seth Jarvis' power-play marker early in the second period. Aho also had an even-strength tally in the middle frame, which was the final goal Carolina scored in the contest. In addition to recording two points, the Finnish center had two shots on net, one block and a minus-2 rating in 18:48 of ice time. After a career high in the regular season with 89 points, the 26-year-old forward finished the postseason with four goals, eight assists and a plus-1 rating in 11 outings.

He helped on Andrei Svechnikov's game-tying marker late in the third period, but Aho's efforts ultimately failed to prevent Carolina from falling behind 3-0 in the second-round series. Although the Hurricanes have come up short against the Rangers, Aho has excelled with six assists through three contests in the series. That gives him two goals and nine points across eight playoff outings this year after setting a career high of 89 points (36 goals) in 78 regular-season games.
