Lance Bouma: Cut from camp
The Kings assigned Bouma to AHL Ontario's training camp Sunday.
Bouma, who was attending L.A.'s training camp on a professional tryout agreement, failed to earn a deal with a big club, so he'll now set his sights on securing an AHL-only contract. The veteran forward will have zero fantasy value in 2019-20.

Kings' Lance Bouma: Secures tryout
Bouma signed a professional tryout agreement with the Kings on Sunday, Rick Dhaliwal of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Bouma spent the 2018-19 campaign overseas with Swiss club Geneve-Servette, but was limited to a mere three games. The center will try to make a go of it with Los Angeles during training camp, though he may be hard pressed to secure a spot in the lineup ahead of Adrian Kempe or Michael Amadio.

Lance Bouma: Signs overseas
Bouma inked a one-year deal with Geneve-Servette (NLA) on Wednesday.
Bouma spent the end of the 2017-18 campaign with AHL Rockford after going unclaimed off waivers. Considering no NHL team was willing to take a look at him in February, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see him bound for Europe. If the winger is unable to earn his was back to the NHL, he will finish his career with 30 goals and 46 assists in 357 outings.

Blackhawks' Lance Bouma: Cut loose by Chicago
Bouma was waived by the Blackhawks on Sunday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
Expect to see a ton of waiver transactions ahead of Monday's trade deadline, as NHL general managers crunch the numbers and make the pieces fit. Bouma has been waiver fodder in fantasy leagues as the owner of nine points through 53 games.

Blackhawks' Lance Bouma: Sitting as healthy scratch
Bouma has been a healthy scratch for the Blackhawks' last three games.
The 27-year-old forward was in the lineup for the first 46 games of the season, notching three goals and eight points over that span, but coach Joel Quenneville has decided to give Tomas Jurco an opportunity to earn a regular spot in the lineup recently, making Bouma the odd man out. Either way, the 2008 third-round pick doesn't produce enough offense to be considered a viable option in season-long formats, even when he's locked into a bottom-six role.

Blackhawks' Lance Bouma: Garners assist
Bouma picked up an assist in Thursday's 5-1 drubbing of the Jets.
Bouma found a wide open Tommy Wingels at the top of the circle to give the Hawks a two-goal lead early in the first period. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, the center only added one shot on goal and a plus-1 rating the rest of the game. Considering he tallied less than 10 points in each of the previous two seasons, the 27-year-old's 34-point, 2014-15 campaign seems to have been a fluke.

Blackhawks' Lance Bouma: Tallies assist
Bouma notched an assist and a shot on goal in a 7-5 loss to the Devils on Sunday.
Bouma has two assists in his last three games and four helpers overall. However, he's also averaged 9:40 per game in ice time, and that's simply not going to cut it from a fantasy perspective.

Blackhawks' Lance Bouma: Records first two points
Bouma scored his first goal with the Blackhawks and added a helper in Saturday's win over the Coyotes.
Bouma is currently skating on the fourth line and doesn't offer much from a fantasy perspective. The 27-year-old did have a 34-point season back in his Calgary days, but his offensive production really fell off in the following years. Chicago's top lines can't always carry the offense, so it's good to see a guy like Bouma deliver in the third with the game-winning goal. Don't expect much from the former Flame aside from the rare point contribution every now and then.

Blackhawks' Lance Bouma: Blown away to Windy City
Bouma signed a one-year deal with the Blackhawks on Saturday.
Bouma was definitely headed for a pay cut after the Flames bought out the last year of his contract that was scheduled to cost them $2.2 million. Instead, the Hawks get the 27-year-old for just a $1 million cap hit according to CapFriendly.com. Despite playing in 61 contests for Calgary, the center notched a mere seven points, 35 PIM and 53 shots on goal. In line for a bottom-six role with Chicago, the Alberta native is unlikely to put up anything like his 2014-15 numbers in which he tallied 34 points.

Lance Bouma: Contract bought out by Calgary
The Flames bought out the final year of Bouma's three-year, $6.6 million contract Friday, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
Bouma hasn't lived up to the three-year deal he signed with Calgary prior to the 2015-16 campaign, as he's only managed to tally a dismal 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 105 games over that span. The 27-year-old forward will be free to sign with a new club as an unrestricted free agent, but it remains to be seen if he'll draw any interest from NHL teams after logging back-to-back seven-point seasons.

Flames' Lance Bouma: Collects assist in loss to Bruins
Bouma registered an assist through 10:07 of ice time during Wednesday's loss to Boston.
After flashing offensive upside and fantasy relevance with 16 goals and 34 points during the 2014-15 campaign, Bouma has five tallies and nine helpers through 94 games over the past two seasons. You can safely ignore the 26-year-old veteran in all fantasy settings at this stage of the game.

Flames' Lance Bouma: Still hasn't turned things around
Bouma has one point in his last 18 games and recently sat out back-to-back contests as a healthy scratch.
Bouma followed up 2014-15's 34-point effort with a measly seven points last year, and it's been much of the same this season with three goals and two assists across 39 contests. He also threw the body a ton a few years back with 264 hits but has amassed just 93 in 2016-17, so clearly he's a different player these days -- which, to be clear, is one with little to no fantasy value regardless of format.

Flames' Lance Bouma: Two points in last 17 games
Bouma recorded just two points in his last 17 games, giving him just five in 33 contests this season.
Bouma has delivered 36 hits and 20 shots on goal during that span, so he's serving his purpose as a depth forward for the Flames. Unfortunately, grinders in checking roles like Bouma don't do much to impact the fantasy world, so there aren't many settings where ownership of the 26-year-old is warranted.

Flames' Lance Bouma: Scores game-winner
Bouma scored the game-winning goal Saturday against the Coyotes. He also fired five shots on net.
Bouma's tally 12:38 into the first period was the third of the frame and held up as the eventual game-winner. He now has just two goals and two assists through 21 games this season and doesn't offer much by way of fantasy value given his lack of production.

Flames' Lance Bouma: Making return Thursday
Bouma will return to the lineup for Thursday night's matchup in Arizona after missing the previous 16 games with a shoulder injury, Kristen Odland of Postmedia reports.
With Kris Versteeg (upper body) missing Thursday's game, Bouma is the next man up. The Alberta native is poised to retake a position on the fourth line, meaning he probably won't receive significant minutes and is unlikely to contribute much for fantasy purposes outside of a few hits.

Flames' Lance Bouma: Placed on injured reserve
Bouma (shoulder) is on the Flames' IR list according to the NHL's official media site.
It was already being reported that Bouma would experience a lengthy absence due to his shoulder injury and this move to injured reserve simply confirms it. He isn't a fantasy asset in most formats.

Flames' Lance Bouma: Eyeing lengthy absence
Bouma will not play in Sunday night's game in Anaheim and will be out of the lineup "for a couple weeks" with a shoulder injury Kristen Odland of Postmedia reports.
With one assist and 11:36 of average ice time, Bouma hasn't made much of a splash this season, but this is mostly to be expected from the 26-year-old center who has only recorded greater than 15 points in one season. The Flames may miss his fourth-line production while he remains sidelined, but fantasy players in most formats shouldn't.
