Mike Santorelli: Retiring due to injury
Santorelli will retire from professional hockey due to injury, Paul Hendrick of Leafs TV reports.
Santorelli signed with Geneva Servette of the Swiss League over the summer after failing to secure on NHL deal, but will now call it quits after a nine-year professional career. The 30-year-old Northern Michigan University product garnered 64 goals and 74 helpers in 406 NHL contests, most notably notching 41 points with the Panthers in 2010-11.

Mike Santorelli: Agrees to deal with Geneva Servette
Santorelli is heading overseas to continue his professional career after agreeing to terms on a contract with Geneva Servette of the Swiss League on Monday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Santorelli saw action in 70 games with Anaheim last season, but his limited production, 18 points and eight PIM, was not enough to convince the Ducks to keep him around for another season. While the 30-year-old saw a slight drop in production, he did reach the 20-point mark in 2014-15 and 2013-14. The center could find his way back to an NHL roster, but time is certainly not on his side.

Ducks' Mike Santorelli: Picks up assist in final game of regular season
Santorelli (undisclosed) notched an assist and logged 9:59 of ice time in the Ducks' final game of the regular season Sunday against Washington.
Santorelli ended the regular season with a bang, but may not see much action in the postseason. The 30-year-old center is expected to be a healthy scratch for Friday's Game 1 against the Predators, as David Perron (shoulder) will slot back into the lineup following an 11-game absence, making Santorelli the odd man out at forward. The 2004 sixth-round pick's exclusion from the lineup will likely go unnoticed by most fantasy owners. He's only tallied 18 points in 70 games this season, and isn't a great option in daily formats or playoff pools.

Ducks' Mike Santorelli: Out Saturday
Santorelli (undisclosed) won't suit up for Saturday's game against the Avalanche, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Santorelli's absence won't affect many fantasy owners' lineups, as the 30-year-old center has only notched 17 points in 69 games this season, and should only be owned in the deepest of fantasy leagues. The Ducks should provide an update on the 2004 sixth-round pick's status once he's ready to return to game action.

Ducks' Mike Santorelli: Lights lamp twice Monday
Santorelli found twine twice Monday in a 6-4 matinee win over Calgary.
The afternoon affair was kind to the center, who scored his eighth and ninth goals of the season despite a very limited 8:44 of ice time. Santorelli has four points in his last three games and 14 in 50 contests this year.

Ducks' Mike Santorelli: Nets Game Winner Friday
Santorelli scored the game-winning goal against the Sharks on Friday.
It was the lone goal of the game, as Santorelli beat San Jose netminder Martin Jones up high with a wicked wrist shot early in the third period. Santorelli has scored four goals in 25 games this year, but considering he's playing on the fourth line and seeing no power-play time, it's easy to see why he's stuck on five points. The 29-year-old is a former 20-goal-scorer, but when he's seeing just 6:45 of ice time -- as he did Friday -- don't expect much in terms of production.

Ducks' Mike Santorelli: Finishes November with one point
Santorelli did not have a November to remember, as he finished the month with one goal and no assists.
Considering Santorelli's season totals of three goals and one assist, it seems remarkable that he actually led his team in goals for a time. He hasn't registered an assist since Anaheim's second game of the season, and only has one goal in his last 15 games. His somewhat promising start appears to have been a mirage, and if for some reason you're still holding out hope for Mike Santorelli's fantasy relevance this season, it's definitely time to cut ties.

Ducks' Mike Santorelli: Nets first goal as a Duck
Santorelli scored his first of the season in Anaheim's 4-1 win over Minnesota on Sunday.
The goal comes on the heels of being a healthy scratch in Friday's loss to the Avs. Santorelli skated on Anaheim's fourth line alongside Patrick Maroon and Shawn Horcoff on Sunday, a line that packs a little bit of everything from grit to speed and skill. While the third period tally was a nice thing for the line, don't expect the scoring to continue with much reliability in the coming weeks.
