Jaromir Jagr had to briefly leave Tuesday's game against the Ottawa Senators after he was struck in the face by a high stick from Alex Chiasson.
Jagr immediately fell to the ice and not only left behind a pool of blood on the ice and a towel, but he also lost his two front teeth as captured by the Panthers' television broadcast.
But as Jagr was skating off to the bench, he passed by Chiasson and made sure he reached out and gave him a gentle pat on the back of the helmet, almost as if to say, it's all good, buddy.
It all happened during a scramble in front of the Ottawa net. Here is a look.
And here is a better look at Jagr's gentle head pat for Chiasson (via @MyRegularFace)

Amazingly, even though Jagr was clearly smacked in the face and left a bloody mess behind there was no penalty called on the play because every official on the ice missed it.
Jagr ended up returning to the game just a few minutes later.
