PITTSBURGH -- There were 211 players that heard their name called this weekend in Pittsburgh, coming from 12 different countries and various leagues from all over the globe.
A quick look at the draft and the players selected by the numbers.
99. The number of players selected from Canada, which is more than any other country.
56. The number of players selected from the United States, which came in second during the weekend.
The only other countries that boasted more than 10 players were Sweden (22) and Russia (11).
The rest: Finland (9), Czech Republic (6), Denmark (2), Latvia (2), Belarus (1), Germany (1), Switzerland (1), United Kingdom (1)
131. Do you want to feel old? Because we're going to make you feel old. Of the players that were selected this weekend 131 of them were born in 1994. You might remember 1994 as the year the New York Rangers won the Stanley Cup, thanks in part to the goal scored by Stephane Matteau in double overtime of Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final.
Of course, Stephane Matteau's son was drafted this year. By the team that he beat in 1994, the New Jersey Devils. Good times.
Everything comes full circle at the NHL draft.
Fifty-eight players were born in 1993, 20 in 1992, one in 1991 and one in 1989.
48. The number of players selected from the Ontario Hockey League, which led all of the North American leagues. The Western Hockey league was second with 32, while the USHL had 24 and the QMHJL had 19.
Position-by-position breakdown

It was a good year to be a defensemen as the 2012 draft tied an NHL record for most defensemen taken in the first round with 13, matching the total from the 1996 draft. Eight of the first 10 picks play on the blue line, including a run of seven in a row between picks three and 10.
The New York Islanders did their best to corner the market by selecting a defenseman with every single pick they had this weekend (7). They also added Lubomir Visnovsky to their NHL roster by acquiring him for a second-round pick from the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night.
