Cowboys' Donovan Wilson: Contributes eight stops in defeat
Wilson recorded eight tackles (four solo) and recovered a fumble Sunday in a Week 9 loss to the Falcons.
Wilson finished second on Dallas in stops behind Eric Kendricks in the defeat. The safety also made a big play with a second-quarter fumble recovery on a sack of Kirk Cousins, but the Cowboys couldn't convert a key fourth down on their ensuing drive. Wilson's eight tackles Sunday were a season high, and he's totaled 43 total stops through eight games on the campaign.

Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Makes seven stops in Week 9 loss
Overshown recorded seven tackles (four solo), including three for a loss, in Sunday's defeat against Atlanta.
Overshown had a strong game with three tackles behind the line of scrimmage, but his contributions weren't enough to keep Dallas from falling to 3-5. The second-year linebacker has put up steady tackle totals this season, registering at least seven stops in five of his eight games. Overshown has 56 tackles overall, including 2.0 sacks, on the campaign.

Cowboys' Dalvin Cook: Moves back to practice squad
Cook reverted to the Cowboys' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
With Ezekiel Elliott not making the trip to Atlanta for Sunday's game due to disciplinary reasons, Cook had a chance to earn a larger role in Dallas' backfield, but Rico Dowdle (55 of 77 offensive snaps) handled most of the work, and Hunter Luepke (17 snaps) was the next most-utilized RB option. Meanwhile, Cook was on the field for six offensive snaps and turned his two carries into eight yards. As long as Dowdle is healthy, Cook may not hold much sway in the Cowboys offense, even when Elliott isn't available.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Ruled out for Week 10
Coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that Prescott (hamstring) will not play Week 10 against the Eagles next Sunday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
It had already been reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network that Prescott is looking at a multi-week absence, so this comes as no surprise. The exact timeline of Prescott's recovery remains unclear, and a trip to injured reserve is on the table of possibilities. Cooper Rush will make the start versus Philadelphia. Trey Lance figures to be Rush's backup.

Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Available in Week 10
Head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters Monday that Elliott will be available for Dallas' Week 10 matchup against the Eagles after he didn't travel with the team last week for disciplinary reasons, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Elliott was a healthy scratch for the Cowboys' Week 9 loss to the Falcons, but McCarthy's comments Monday suggest he'll return Week 10. The 2016 first-round pick has missed several team meetings throughout the season and has expressed frustration with his role, playing behind Rico Dowdle, Hunter Luepke and recently Dalvin Cook. Expect Elliott to serve as a depth piece in the Cowboys' running back room ahead of Sunday's divisional matchup.

Cowboys' Cooper Rush: Will start against Philadelphia
With Dak Prescott (hamstring) sidelined, coach Mike McCarthy announced Monday that Rush will start Week 10 against the Eagles next Sunday, David Moore of The Dallas Morning News reports.
"We have great confidence in Cooper," McCarthy said. Rush has been Prescott's backup all season, but it was unclear if Dallas would start Rush or turn to Trey Lance. In relief of Prescott on Sunday against the Falcons, Rush completed 13 of 25 passes (52 percent) for 115 yards and one touchdown, averaging a minuscule 4.6 yards per attempt. Rush won't be a recommended fantasy starter outside of deeper two-quarterback formats.

Cowboys' Micah Parsons: Returning in Week 10?
Parsons "should be back" for the Cowboys' Week 10 matchup against the Eagles on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The 2021 first-round pick from Penn State has missed the Cowboys' last four contests after sustaining a high-ankle sprain in the team's Week 4 win over the Giants. However, Schefter's report Monday indicates that Parsons could return as soon as Week 10. Parsons has yet to practice since his injury, so he'll likely have log at least one limited session at some point this week in order to play Sunday.

Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Optimism for Week 10
Lamb (shoulder) is considered week-to-week, but there is optimism he'll be able to play next Sunday against the Eagles, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Lamb is believed to be dealing with an AC joint injury in his shoulder, which he suffered in the second half of Sunday's loss to the Falcons. He was able to return to the game after briefly exiting, so perhaps he can continue to play through the issue if it's more of a pain tolerance thing. If he's able to suit up against Philadelphia, Lamb is expected to be catching passes from a different quarterback, with Dak Prescott (hamstring) likely out several weeks, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Lamb's fantasy stock thus takes a slight hit, but he still should dominate targets in Dallas' passing attack and will remain a matchup-agnostic WR1.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Expected to miss multiple weeks
Prescott is expected to miss multiple weeks with the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Falcons, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The injury is worse than initially feared, Rapoport added, and Prescott will get a second opinion to confirm the diagnosis. A trip to injured reserve could be in Prescott's future, but the Cowboys may choose to keep him on the active roster in the event he's healed before missing the four games he'd be required to sit out on injured reserve. Cooper Rush and Trey Lance are Dallas' backup quarterbacks, and it's been Rush who's been active on game days as the QB2. One of them looks to be in line to start next Sunday's divisional tilt against the Eagles.

Cowboys' Carl Lawson: Two sacks against Atlanta
Lawson recorded 2.0 sacks in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.
With Micah Parsons (ankle) and DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) still unavailable, Lawson led the Cowboys' pass rush and was the only player to bring down Kirk Cousins on the afternoon. The veteran edge rusher has 2.5 sacks in four games since both Parsons and Lawrence went down, giving Lawson some deep-league IDP appeal in Week 10 against the Eagles if the duo remains sidelined.

Cowboys' Eric Kendricks: Leading tackler in loss
Kendricks recorded a team-high nine tackles (five solo) in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.
After missing one game due to a shoulder injury and then using the Cowboys' Week 7 bye to heal up, Kendricks has delivered back-to-back nine-tackle performances, and he has 70 stops through seven contests on the season. He hasn't produced a sack or interception since the season opener, however. The veteran linebacker figures to be busy again in Week 10 against Saquon Barkley and the Eagles.

Cowboys' Brandon Aubrey: Perfect in Sunday's loss
Aubrey converted both his field-goal attempts and his only extra-point try in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.
He drilled a 34-yard field goal in the first quarter and a 57-yarder right at the end of the third, and Aubrey hasn't missed a kick since Week 5 in Pittsburgh. The second-year kicker has seen fewer PATs and more FGs this season due to the struggles of the Cowboys' offense, and that doesn't seem likely to change with both Dak Prescott (hamstring) and CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) banged up heading into a Week 10 clash with the Eagles.

Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Hauls in catch in Sunday's loss
Flournoy caught one of two targets for 13 yards in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.
The 2024 sixth-round pick hauled in his second career reception late in the fourth quarter with Cooper Rush under center for the Cowboys in place of Dak Prescott (hamstring). CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) also came out of Sunday's loss at less than 100 percent, and if the team's top wideout is sidelined for a Week 10 clash with the Eagles, Flournoy could be in line for career-high volume.
