  • Mason Crosby: Goes back to practice squad

The Giants reverted Crosby to their practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. New York's season is over, but Crosby could potentially still see postseason action if another team were to sign him off the Giants' practice squad. The veteran kicker went 2-for-3 on field-goal tries and converted all three extra-point attempts in Sunday's win over Philadelphia. He finished the campaign having gone 5-for-7 on field-goal attempts and 6-for-7 on extra-point tries over three games.

  • Giants' Mason Crosby: Set to kick again Sunday

The Giants elevated Crosby from the practice squad Saturday in advance of Sunday's game versus the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports. Crosby thus will serve as the Giants' placekicker for a third straight contest to end the campaign. On the first two occasions, he struck true on three of four field-goal attempts and three of four point-after tries.

  • Giants' Mason Crosby: Moves back to practice squad

The Giants reverted Crosby to their practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Crosby has been New York's gameday kicker each of the past two weeks, going 3-for-4 on field-goal attempts and 3-for-4 on extra-point tries over that span. The veteran missed a 54-yard field-goal attempt late in the fourth quarter that could have won the game for the Giants on Sunday, but he did drill a 52-yarder Week 16 against Philadelphia. Unless New York opts to look for another option ahead of its final game of the season Sunday versus the Eagles, Crosby will likely kick for the team again in that contest.

  • Giants' Mason Crosby: Misses potential game-winning FG

Crosby went 2-for-3 on field-goal tries and 1-for-2 on extra-point attempts in Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Rams. Crosby hit a 31-yard field goal to end the first half and a 32-yarder early in the fourth quarter, but he couldn't come through on a much more challenging 54-yarder that could have won the game with 35 seconds remaining in the contest. That kick was necessitated in part by Crosby's missed extra point in the third period, as New York consequently trailed by one and opted to try to take the lead with a failed two-point conversion following a Gunner Olszewski 94-yard punt-return TD with 3:27 remaining in the game. Crosby's opportunity to kick has come as a result of Graham Gano (knee) and Randy Bullock (hamstring) landing on IR, and the former Packer has gone 3-for-4 on field-goal tries and 3-for-4 on extra-point attempts over the past two weeks.

  • Giants' Mason Crosby: Will kick for NYG again Week 17

The Giants elevated Crosby from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports. New York has dealt with a litany of kicker injuries this season, as Graham Gano (knee) and Randy Bullock (hamstring) are on IR and Cade York (quadriceps) is on the practice squad/injured list. Crosby was consequently signed to the team's practice squad Dec. 22 and was subsequently elevated for last Sunday's loss to Philadelphia, converting his lone field-goal attempt and both extra-point tries. The former Packer will get another opportunity to kick against the Rams in Week 17, and it seems likely that he'll do so in the Giants' season finale Jan. 7 versus Philadelphia as well.

  • Giants' Mason Crosby: Goes back to practice squad

Crosby reverted to the Giants' practice squad Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log. Crosby spent about a week on the Rams' practice squad in early December, but despite being elevated for a Week 14 matchup with the Ravens, L.A. subsequently opted to stick with Lucas Havrisik at placekicker. Meanwhile, the Giants churned through multiple kickers after Graham Gano (knee) was lost for the season, seeing Randy Bullock (hamstring) and Cade York (quadriceps) also go down to injuries before they inked Crosby to a practice-squad contract last Friday. The former Packer played Monday at Philadelphia, making his only field-goal attempt (52 yards) and both his point-after tries. With two games to go for the Giants in the regular season and also two available practice-squad elevations for Crosby, he'll likely handle kicking duties on both occasions.

  • Giants' Mason Crosby: Elevated to active roster

The Giants elevated Crosby to the active roster Sunday. Mike reported Friday that Crosby is set to take over the kicking duties for Monday's game against the Eagles after Cade York was placed on the practice squad/injured list after sustaining a quadriceps injury during practice. York was brought in after Graham Gano (knee) and Randy Bullock (hamstring) were both placed on IR. Crosby hasn't had a chance to attempt a field goal this year, though he did spend some time on the Rams' practice squad before being cut by the team Dec. 12.

  • Giants' Mason Crosby: Set to kick for Giants this week

Crosby will sign with the Giants' practice squad Friday and is expected to serve as the team's kicker Monday at Philadelphia, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Kickers haven't been spared from the Giants' widespread injury issues this season, and Cade York (quadricep) will now head to the practice squad/injured list after suffering aninjury during practice Thursday. York had been expected to take over the Giants' kicker in Week 16, after Graham Gano (knee) and Randy Bullock (hamstring) had both been placed on injured reserve with injuries that will keep them out for the rest of the season. Crosby spent a few days as a member of the Rams' practice squad last week and now has a chance to serve as the Giants' placekicker for their final three games of the regular season. He's among the lesser fantasy options at the position for Week 16, playing outdoors for a double-digit underdog while acclimating to a new long snapper and holder.

  • Mason Crosby: Time in L.A. over

The Rams cut Crosby from their practice squad Tuesday. Though the Rams elevated Crosby to the practice squad ahead of this past Sunday's game against the Ravens just days after he signed with the team, he was ultimately inactive for Los Angeles' 37-31 overtime loss. The Rams instead stuck with the struggling Lucas Havrisik as their kicker, and he was able to solidify his job by knocking down both of his extra-point tries and all three of his field-goal attempts, including one from 51 yards. With Havrisik seemingly now secure as the Rams' kicker heading into the final four games of the season, Los Angeles will allow the 39-year-old Crosby to attempt to find work elsewhere.

  • Mason Crosby: Bumped down to practice squad

The Rams reverted Crosby to the practice squad Monday. Crosby was inactive for Sunday's 37-31 overtime loss to the Ravens. Lucas Havrisik ended up having his best performance of the season, as he connected on all three of his field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries. It's likely that Havrisik's job is safe for at least one more week, though Crosby will be on standby should the former underperform.

  • Rams' Mason Crosby: Won't kick yet

Crosby (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Ravens, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. Crosby signed with the Rams' practice squad earlier in the week and ultimately was elevated to the active roster Saturday. However, the veteran kicker will remain on the sidelines as Lucas Havrisik will get another opportunity to prove he should remain the team's kicker.

  • Mason Crosby: Unlikely to play vs. Ravens

Head coach Sean McVay suggested Friday that Crosby isn't expected to be elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports. McVay didn't completely dismiss the possibility of Crosby kicking Sunday, but the team appears likely to stick with Lucas Havrisik against Baltimore. Crosby signed with the Rams' practice squad Wednesday and could be an alternative moving forward if Los Angeles decides to move on from Havrisik, who has missed three of 10 field-goal attempts since replacing Brett Maher as the kicker for the Rams.

  • Mason Crosby: Could kick for Rams on Sunday

The Rams could elevate Crosby from the practice squad for Sunday's game against Baltimore, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports. The Rams signed Crosby to their practice squad Wednesday, and the team may not wait long to summon him to the active roster. Until signing with the Rams, the 39-year-old had been a free agent after converting on 25 of 29 field-goal tries with the Packers in 2022. Lucas Havrisik has been Los Angeles' kicker since Week 8, but he's struggled of late, missing a pair of field goals over the past two weeks. In any case, the Rams don't intend to cut Havrisik even if they elevate Crosby for Week 14, per Grosbard.

  • Mason Crosby: Works out with Rams

The Rams worked out Crosby on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. The Rams released Brett Maher on Tuesday, so they're now in the market for a replacement at kicker. Crosby was unceremoniously replaced by Anders Carlson during the offseason after serving as Green Bay's kicker for 16 years, but he may soon get another chance with a different team.

  • Packers' Mason Crosby: Completes 16th season

Crosby converted 25 of 29 field-goal tries, made 37 of his 39 extra-point attempts and scored 112 points over 17 games in the 2022 campaign. Crosby made just as many field goals as he did in 2021, but the Packers did not find the end zone as frequently as they did that season, and he finished with 12 fewer points than he put up the year before. He'll turn 39 in September and made just one kick from at least 50 yards away in 2022, but he remains a reliable option at the placekicker position. Crosby will be a free agent this offseason, so it remains to be seen if he'll return to Green Bay for a 17th season, head elsewhere or opt for retirement.

  • Packers' Mason Crosby: Shines in Week 16

Crosby made four field goals and two extra points in Sunday's 26-20 victory over the Dolphins. Crosby had not made more than two field goals in a game all season, but in the veteran's team-record 256th consecutive appearance, he put three points on the board four times and chipped in a couple extra points. Crosby has not done a lot for fantasy players this season, but he has done enough recently -- if the weather cooperates -- to garner consideration in Week 17 against a Vikings team that has allowed opposing kickers to reach double digits in seven straight games.

  • Packers' Mason Crosby: Makes all kicks in Week 15

Crosby made a 34-yard field goal and all three extra points he attempted in Monday's 24-12 victory over the Rams. Crosby made every kick he attempted for the second time in as many games, but he also finished with a single digit in the points column for the 14th time in 14 appearances this season. His next matchup will come against a Dolphins defense that allowed opposing kickers to reach double digits twice over the last three weeks but has been above average against that position over the course of the season.

  • Packers' Mason Crosby: Perfect in victory

Crosby made two field goals and two extra points in Sunday's 28-19 victory over the Bears. Crosby was perfect for the first time since Week 9, and he finished one point shy of tying the season-best nine points he put up in Weeks 2, 4 and 12. He will not offer any assistance for fantasy players in Week 14 with Green Bay on bye, but he will have an appealing matchup the following week, as he and the Packers will take on a Rams team that has allowed kickers to rack up all kinds of points since the start of November.

  • Packers' Mason Crosby: Quiet in Week 11

Crosby made a 39-yard field goal and had his only extra-point attempt blocked in Thursday's 27-17 loss to the Titans. Tennessee's defense has regularly stifled opposing kickers this season, and they did so again Thursday night. Green Bay's next opponent -- the Eagles -- are faring even better in that department than the Titans, so it seems unlikely Crosby will bounce back in Week 12.

  • Packers' Mason Crosby: Cleared for Week 10

Crosby (back) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Crosby's practice reps were capped all week while he managed the back issue, but the fact that the Packers aren't even listing the kicker as questionable for Sunday's contest suggests that his health was never a major concern. The 38-year-old has missed just two kicks all season, but a struggling Packers offense has presented him with only 11 field-goal tries and 17 extra-point attempts through the team's first nine games.
