  • Alexander Johnson: Joins Seattle's practice squad

Seattle signed Johnson to its practice squad Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Johnson lands a practice-squad deal with Seattle two weeks after working out for the team. The undrafted linebacker logged 32 tackles, two sacks and one fumble recovery for Denver last year before suffering a season-ending pectoral injury in Week 6. Now that he's healthy, he'll look to work his way onto Seattle's 53-man roster.

  • Broncos' Alexander Johnson: Officially tendered

The Broncos placed a second-round tender on Johnson on Tuesday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports. This move was expected, as it offers the Broncos the right of first refusal if Johnson receives an offer sheet on the open market. Johnson will receive $3.3 million in base salary in 2021 unless a better offer comes around, though that seems unlikely given that the other team would forfeit a second-round pick to the Broncos by signing him. Johnson led the team with 124 tackles last season, and he's poised to be a full-time starter again next year.

  • Broncos' Alexander Johnson: Piles up nine stops

Johnson made nine tackles -- one for a loss -- in Sunday's 18-12 win over the Patriots. Johnson leads the Broncos with 38 total tackles through five games, and he's added a sack as well. The 28-year-old linebacker posted 93 tackles last season, and now he's taken another step, leaving him on pace for 121 stops this year. Johnson plays nearly every snap since Todd Davis is no longer in Denver, and the production has followed, so fantasy managers in IDP formats should have their eyes on him.

  • Broncos' Alexander Johnson: Eight tackles Sunday

Johnson recorded eight tackles (six solo) in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Steelers. Johnson tied safety Justin Simmons for team lead in tackles Sunday, playing every defensive snap as a staple of the Broncos' defense. Johnson was a breakout candidate prior to the season and, barring injuries, looks well on his way to surpassing the 100-tackle threshold in 2020.

  • Broncos' Alexander Johnson: Piles up 12 stops

Johnson recorded a team-high 12 tackles in Monday's 16-13 loss to the Titans. The 28-year-old linebacker posted 93 tackles over 15 games last season, and the release of Todd Davis earlier in September provided Johnson a chance to break out further in 2020. He's taking advantage early, as he was all over the field in the primetime showdown. Johnson played all 81 snaps Monday, and, if he suits up in 16 games this year, he should easily surpass the 100-tackle threshold.

  • Broncos' Alexander Johnson: Limited participation Wednesday

Johnson (knee) was listed as a limited participant for Wednesday's practice. Johnson was limited last week prior to Denver's win over the Texans, when he suited up and provided both five tackles (two solo) and a forced fumble. He should be good to go again in Week 15, but his situation will continue to be monitored.

Johnson (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Chargers. After not practicing until Friday and only working in a limited capacity during that session, Johnson recovered enough for this divisional clash. The 27-year-old has 41 tackles (23 solo) 1.5 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble in five starts.

  • Alexander Johnson: Let go by Denver

Johnson was cut by the Broncos on Thursday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. Johnson was cut to make room for fellow linebacker Jeff Holland on the 53-man roster. In his only game with the Broncos this season, Johnson played 13 special teams snaps and did not record a single defensive statistic. The 26-year-old will look to earn a depth role elsewhere in the league if he goes unclaimed on waivers.
