The Packers waived Hill on Tuesday.
Hill suffered a torn ACL on a kick return during his rookie season and was sidelined for the start of the 2022 campaign. The 2021 seventh-round pick made his season debut against the Lions in Week 9, but he saw just nine total snaps (one offensive) over the Packers' past two games. If the running back clears waivers, Green Bay may be interested in signing him to the practice squad, but Hill, who flashed during preseason action as a rookie, may draw some interest from around the league.

Hill had one carry for seven yards in Sunday's 15-9 loss to the Lions.
Hill was only on the field for three offensive snaps, but he did record his first carry since tearing his ACL in Week 8 of the 2021 campaign. Hill could see more work in Week 10 if fellow running back Aaron Jones (ankle) is unable to go, but in that scenario he would still find himself behind AJ Dillon on the depth chart.

Packers' Kylin Hill: Returning to practice
Rotowire
The Packers designated Hill (knee) for return from the PUP list Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
The transaction now opens a 21-day window wherein the Packers can monitor Hill at practice, and he's eligible to be added to the 53-man roster at any point during that three-week span. The second-year player, who is working his way back from a torn ACL, could challenge Patrick Taylor for the No. 3 backfield role when back to full form. Hill may also be a candidate to handle kick-return duties for Green Bay.

Packers' Kylin Hill: Rehabbing during OTAs
Rotowire
Hill (knee) was spotted rehabbing off to the side of the Packers' OTA on Tuesday, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
The seventh-round pick out of Mississippi State shined during the preseason last year, earning a spot on the initial 53-man roster, and operated as the Packers' primary kick returner until he suffered a torn ACL during Week 8 against the Cardinals. It's unclear if Hill will be 100 percent healthy by the start of the 2022 campaign, but it's still a positive sign to see the youngster getting in workouts during the offseason.

Hill did not carry the ball at all for the third week in a row, but he did catch his first pass as a professional. Packers' Kylin Hill: Five carries late in Week 1
Rotowire
Hill had five carries for 14 yards in Sunday's 38-3 loss to the Packers.
Hill finished tied for the team lead in carries, second in rushing yards and played just two fewer snaps than A.J. Dillon in Week 1, but fantasy players should be aware he did not touch the ball until the Packers swapped out Aaron Rodgers for Jordan Love in the fourth quarter of Sunday's lopsided contest. Hill is an intriguing prospect for the Packers, but don't consider him a threat to Dillon's backup spot behind Aaron Jones just yet.

Packers' Kylin Hill: In position to secure RB3 role
Rotowire
Packers running backs coach Ben Sirmans, via Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, said Sunday that Hill has put himself in "great position" to open the season as the Packers' third running back.
Aaron Jones (hamstring) and AJ Dillon are locked in as the Packers' top two running backs provided they are healthy, but the third spot on the depth chart is up for grabs, and the rookie currently stands ahead of Patrick Taylor and Dexter Williams in the competition. Hill didn't get anything going on the ground in the Packers' preseason opener, finishing with minus-two yards on five carries, but he did flash on a screen pass that he took 22 yards to the house, and he also returned three kicks for 58 yards.
