John Jackson: Cut by Chicago
The Bears waived Jackson on Tuesday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Jackson spent most of last season on Chicago's practice squad, and he's yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game. He played 12 offensive snaps in the Bears' preseason opener against Miami on Sunday, catching one of his four targets for seven yards. Jackson was also credited with a dropped pass.

Bears' John Jackson: Staying with Chicago
Jackson signed a reserve/future contract with the Bears on Monday, Chris Emma of 670TheScore.com reports.
Jackson signed with Chicago as an undrafted free agent out of USC in May and ended up spending the majority of the season on their practice squad. He'll now have the opportunity to be a part of the Bears' offseason programs and earn a spot on their squad for the 2025 campaign.

Jackson reunites with Chicago's coaching staff after having spent training camp with the team. The 25-year-old will UDFA out of Nevada will work to continue his development with the Bears, in the hopes of getting a chance to make his NFL debut this season.
