Texans' Josh Kelly: Sticking around in Houston
The Texans signed Kelly to a reserve/future contract Tuesday.
Kelly spent the entire 2025 season on the Texans' practice squad after failing to make the Cowboys' 53-man roster at the end of training camp in late August. He didn't appear in a regular-season game, but by signing a future contract, he'll be on Houston's 90-man roster for the offseason and will be eligible to participate in OTAs and minicamp.

Josh Kelly: Signed to Houston's practice squad
The Texans signed Kelly to the practice squad Thursday.
Kelly was unable to crack the Cowboys' 53-man roster, but he'll stay in-state with the Texans on the team's practice squad. The undrafted rookie out of Texas Tech finished the preseason with two catches (on six targets) for 25 yards across 68 offensive snaps in three games.

Josh Kelly: Cut by Dallas
The Cowboys waived Kelly on Monday, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Signed by Dallas as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech earlier in the offseason, Kelly played 68 offensive snaps this preseason and caught two passes for 25 yards on six targets.
