Stanley (knee) was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement by the Bears on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Stanley was expected to miss the entirety of the regular season after reverting to the Bears' IR with a knee injury last week. This settlement will now allow the 25-year-old, who has not played since his eight-game stint with Seattle in 2020, to join a new team once he gets healthy.

The cornerback was signed to the team's practice squad and immediately placed on the COVID list Dec. 30. Stanley last appeared in the NFL in 2020, playing 126 snaps over eight games on special teams with the Seahawks.

Stanley, who appeared in eight games this season, officially has been placed on IR after injuring his hamstring in Week 16's win. The cornerback's duties likely will be taken over by Tre Flowers, as Flowers is rejoining the active roster this week and will likely suit up for Saturday's wild-card matchup.
