Art Stapleton@art_stapleton2H agoGiants were never in play for a comp pick for Daniel Jones. Released players do not factor into the compensatory formula, and Jones would have been released, today or prior to the start of the league year in March.

Not sure why a post-June 1 designation would've even been considered next year. Take the whole hit + get Jones off the books. Continue the rebuild. You're not saving by splitting the hit
