Sciba was cut from the Steelers' practice squad Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Sciba filled in for Chris Boswell in Week 8 while Boswell was out due to a groin injury, and he connected on both of his field-goal attempts. With the team coming off a Week 9 bye, it appears Boswell may be ready to return Sunday against the Saints, since the team is letting Sciba go.

Nick Sciba: Back to practice squad
Rotowire
Sciba reverted to the Steelers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Sciba stepped up to handle the Steelers' kicking duties Sunday against Eagles, as Chris Boswell was out due to a groin injury. The 22-year old made both of his field-goal attempts, while also making his lone PAT. With the Steelers now on a bye and Boswell having an extra week to heal, it's unlikely Sciba will need to be called upon when the team returns to action Week 10.

Steelers' Nick Sciba: Perfect in NFL debut
Rotowire
Sciba converted both of his field-goal attempts while making his lone extra-point try during the Steelers' 35-13 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.
Sciba was elevated from the Steelers' practice squad ahead of Sunday's Week 8 matchup, and he converted all three of his kicks during his first taste of regular-season action in the NFL. The Steelers have a Week 9 bye, which will give Chris Boswell (groin) additional time to recover prior to the team's matchup against the Saints on Nov. 13. If Boswell is available in Week 10, Sciba will presumably head back to the practice squad.
