Alex Barrett: Time's up in San Francisco
Barrett was waived by the 49ers on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

For now, the chapter is closed on Barrett's time with the 49ers, but he has made two game appearances since being last cut by the team Oct. 26.

If he clears waivers, Barrett could secure a role on the team's practice squad.
