Falcons' Samson Ebukam: Signs with Atlanta
The Falcons signed Ebukam on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Ebukam turns 31 years old in May and missed the entire 2024 season due to a torn Achilles. He appeared in 14 regular-season games with the Colts last season, logging 33 tackles (22 solo), including 2.0 sacks, and one fumble recovery on just 43 percent of the defensive snaps. He'll try to help Atlanta's pass rush next season.

Colts' Samson Ebukam: Has down season
Ebukam recorded 33 tackles (22 solo), including 2.0 sacks, and a fumble recovery in 14 regular-season games with Indianapolis in 2025.
After missing the entire 2024 season with a torn Achilles, Ebukam posted mostly disappointing numbers in 2025, including his lowest season sack total since his rookie year back in 2017. He'll turn 31 in May, but it's still possible that being another year removed from the Achilles injury could help his production rebound in 2026. He's in line to become a free agent during the offseason.

Colts' Samson Ebukam: Avoids injury designation
Ebukam (knee) was a full participant in practice Friday.
Ebukam has no injury designation and appears to be ready to play for the first time since Week 7 versus the Chargers. The 30-year-old should be ready to assist starters Laiatu Latu and Kwity Paye to bolster the defensive line. Ebukam has 14 tackles, including 2.0 sacks, on the season.

Colts' Samson Ebukam: Limited Wednesday
Ebukam (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Ebukam has missed three consecutive games due to a lingering MCL sprain in his knee, but he appears to have taken a step forward in his recovery following Indianapolis' bye. If he's able to upgrade to full practice reps Thursday and/or Friday, Ebukam could avoid an injury designation entirely for Sunday's road game against the Chiefs.

Colts' Samson Ebukam: Missing more time
Ebukam (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Falcons.
The 30-year-old is now in line to miss his third consecutive game after sustaining an MCL injury in the Week 7 win over the Chargers. With Ebukam and Tyquan Lewis (groin) both sidelined in Week 10, JT Tuimoloau is expected to operate as the Colts' top reserve defensive end.

Colts' Samson Ebukam: Out for Week 9
Ebukam (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Steelers, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Ebukam is still recovering from an MCL injury he suffered in Week 7. He'll miss his second straight game, allowing Tyquan Lewis and JT Tuimoloau to see increased snaps off the edge for the Colts.

Colts' Samson Ebukam: Misses another practice
Ebukam (knee) did not practice Wednesday.
Ebukam is recovering from an MCL injury that he sustained during the Colts' Week 7 win over the Chargers, which prevented him from playing against the Titans this past Sunday. He is expected to miss multiple weeks while rehabbing from the injury, so he is unlikely to be cleared to return for Week 9 against the Steelers.

Colts' Samson Ebukam: Out for Week 8
Ebukam (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Ebukam suffered a multi-week MCL injury in last Sunday's win over the Chargers, so his absence isn't unexpected. With Ebukam out, Tyquan Lewis (groin) and JT Tuimoloau are expected to see increased reps on defense.

Colts' Samson Ebukam: Dealing with MCL injury
Ebukam is expected to miss multiple weeks after sustaining an MCL injury in Sunday's 38-24 win over the Chargers, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
The veteran edge rusher is seeking a second opinion regarding his MCL injury, but he's currently expected to be sidelined over the next couple of weeks, at minimum. Ebukam has played 208 defensive snaps over the Colts' first seven games this season, recording 24 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks. In his stead, Tyquan Lewis (groin) and rookie JT Tuimoloau are expected to serve as Indianapolis' reserve defensive ends.
