Tampa Bay released Triner on Sunday, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Triner had worked as the Buccaneers' long snapper for the past five seasons, but the team has opted to turn over that role to second-year pro Evan Deckers. Triner will thus be free to seek work with a new organization.

The Buccaneers placed Triner on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
If Triner is vaccinated and free of symptoms, then he can return to the team after two negative tests administered at least 24 hours apart. If Triner isn't able to clear protocols in time for Week 14, then Carson Tinker -- who took over long-snapping duties during Triner's eight-week stint on IR -- will likely fill in again.

Triner (finger) was activated from injured reserve Monday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Triner was Tampa Bay's long-snapper, but he was injured in their first game of the season. He was designated to return from IR on Nov. 17 and has since been able to practice with the team. Triner could suit up as soon as Monday night against the Giants, but it remains to be seen if he will. Carson Tinker has been filling the long-snapper role since Triner was injured.

The Buccaneers designated Triner (finger) to return from their injured reserve list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
The Buccaneers will now have a three-week window to activate the center to their active roster before Triner ends up on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. Expect Carson Tinker to revert to the Bucs' practice squad once Triner is able to return to the field.
