The Bears placed Turner (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday. Turner suffered a season-ending torn ACL in the Bears' Week 8 loss to the Ravens. • Bears' Shemar Turner: Suffers season-ending ACL tear

Bears coach Ben Johnson said Monday that Turner (knee) will miss the rest of the 2025 campaign due to an ACL tear, Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. The rookie second-round pick suffered a season-ending knee injury during Chicago's loss to Baltimore in Week 8 and will now turn his full attention toward making a recovery for the 2026 campaign. Turner now ends his rookie year with six solo tackles across five regular-season appearances. In Turner's absence, Andrew Billings and Jonathan Ford will now benefit from increased rotational opportunities behind top defensive tackles Grady Jarrett and Gervon Dexter.

  • Bears' Shemar Turner: Won't return Week 8 with knee injury

Turner has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Ravens due to a knee injury. Turner was carted off the field after sustaining a knee injury in the first quarter, and the rookie second-rounder will not return to Sunday's game in Baltimore. With Turner done for the day and Chris Williams (coach's decision) inactive, Andrew Billings and Jonathan Ford will serve as the Bears' rotational defensive tackles behind Grady Jarrett and Gervon Dexter the rest of the way.

  • Bears' Shemar Turner: On track to play Week 1

Turner (ankle) was not listed on the Bears' estimated injury report Thursday. Turner was sidelined for most of training camp due to an ankle injury that he suffered in late July. His absence from Thursday's estimated report indicates that he's past the issue, and the rookie second-rounder is in line to make his NFL regular-season debut against the Vikings on Monday. Turner is expected to begin the season in a rotational role at defensive tackle behind starters Grady Jarrett and Gervon Dexter.
