Mims strained his pectoral muscle in the Bengals' preseason game against the Buccaneers on Aug. 10, and he was expected to miss multiple weeks. His return to the field to start Week 1 prep puts him on the proper trajectory to suit up Sunday against the Patriots. However, his status for the matchup likely won't be more definitive until the team releases its initial injury report later in the week.
