Anthony Gordon: Let go by Kansas City
Kansas City waived Gordon on Tuesday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Gordon competed with Shane Buechele for the team's No. 3 quarterback job last year, but neither player made Kansas City's Week 1 roster. It appears UDFA QB Dustin Crum will get a chance to compete with Buechele during training camp this year, though Chad Henne is expected to be the top backup behind Patrick Mahomes.

Chiefs' Anthony Gordon: Back with Kansas City
Gordon agreed to a contract with the Chiefs on Wednesday, Charles Goldman of USA Today reports.
Last year, the 24-year-old competed with Shane Buechele for the team's No. 3 quarterback job, but neither player made the Chiefs' Week 1 roster. Kansas City will bring back both Gordon and Buechele for training camp, but both may realistically be vying for a spot on the practice squad with Patrick Mahomes and Chad Henne slotting in as the clear Nos. 1 and 2 options on the depth chart heading into 2022.

Anthony Gordon: Joins Broncos' practice squad
Gordon has signed with the Broncos' practice squad, Aric DiLalla of the team's official website reports.
Gordon spent the offseason with Kansas City. He spent time on the Broncos' practice squad last season after going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft. He has yet to suit up for an NFL game.

Gordon spent the offseason working on his development with the Chiefs, but he will now need to search for a role elsewhere. Since going undrafted out of Washington State back in 2020, Gordon also previously logged a stint in Seattle.

Chiefs' Anthony Gordon: Future contract with Chiefs
Gordon signed a reserve/future contract with the Chiefs on Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Gordon signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in May of 2020 and spent the entirety of the offseason with the franchise. With just one season of starting experience at Washington State, Gordon is still considered quite raw despite solid numbers. Specifically, he completed 71.6 percent of his passes for 5,579 yards (8.1 YPA), 48 touchdowns and 16 interceptions during his final season at college. He'll be a project for Chiefs' head coach Andy Reid, and he might pick up a few things from Patrick Mahomes as well.

Gordon was waived by the Seahawks on Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Gordon is a solid candidate for the practice squad if he clears waivers. The undrafted rookie put up 5,579 yards, 48 touchdowns and 16 interceptions at Washington State last season.
