Jets' Minkah Fitzpatrick: Headed to Jets
The Dolphins are slated to trade Fitzpatrick to the Jets in exchange for a 2026 seventh-round pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
In 14 regular-season games with Miami last season, Fitzpatrick recorded 82 tackles (59 solo) and one interception. The addition of Fitzpatrick will bolster the Jets secondary ahead of the 2026 campaign, with the acquisition of the 29-year-old safety coming at an affordable cost to the franchise in terms of draft capital. Meanwhile, per his agent Drew Rosenhaus, Fitzpatrick is set to ink a three-year, $40 million deal with his new team in the wake of the trade.

Dolphins' Minkah Fitzpatrick: Miami listening to offers
Speaking at the NFL Scouting Combine on Tuesday, new Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan said everything is on the table with Fitzpatrick (calf), and Miami is listening to trade offers for the safety, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Fitzpatrick has one year remaining on his contract and carries a base salary of $15.6 million to go with an $18.849 million cap number. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense for a rebuilding Dolphins team. The 29-year-old safety started all 14 regular-season games in which he appeared last season, recording 82 tackles (59 solo) including his first career sack, six pass breakups with just one interception, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. That qualified as a down season for Fitzpatrick, who made three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2022-24 with the Steelers.

Dolphins' Minkah Fitzpatrick: Won't play Week 18
Fitzpatrick (calf) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Patriots, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
The 29-year-old is in line to miss his third consecutive game due to a calf injury sustained in the Week 15 loss to the Steelers. Across 14 games this season, Fitzpatrick tallied 82 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, six passes defensed, with one interception, and one forced fumble. Ifeatu Melifonwu is expected to operate as Miami's top free safety in Fitzpatrick's stead Sunday.

Dolphins' Minkah Fitzpatrick: Sidelined for Wednesday's practice
Fitzpatrick (calf) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Fitzpatrick has been sidelined for each of the Dolphins' last two games due to a calf injury he sustained against the Steelers in Week 15. He hasn't been able to practice since the injury, and he would likely have to log at least a limited session over the next two days to have a realistic chance of playing against the Patriots in Sunday's regular-season finale.
