Rush signed a contract with Kansas City on Tuesday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Rush spent much of 2016 on the 49ers' practice squad and ended the year with the Jaguars. Now with the Chiefs, Rush will look to make the roster as a depth linebacker and special teams player.

Marcus Rush: Released by Jaguars
Rush was released by the Jaguars on Monday, John Oehser of Jaguars.com reports.
Rush spent the majority of the 2017 season on the 49ers practice squad before signing with the Jaguars' active roster in December. He ultimately played in two games with the team. The Michigan State product will look for an opportunity with a different team for the upcoming season.

Rush had a strong preseason with the 49ers, recording six sacks in four games, but was stuck on the team's practice squad for most of the season. He will now get a chance to be a part of Jacksonville's active roster and help the pass-rush department.

Rush capped off his strong preseason with two more sacks, bringing his preseason total to six.
Rush has stood out as a pass rusher this preseason and may have played his way into a roster spot despite coming in as an afterthought. While a starting role seems out of reach, he could be used as a situational pass rusher during the first four weeks of the season while Aaron Lynch serves his suspension.
