Tyler Newsome: Let go by Chiefs

Newsome was waived by the Chiefs on Wednesday, Herbie Teope of KansasCity.com reports.
Newsome was brought in to bring some competition for the Chiefs' current punter, Dustin Colquitt. However, that competition will not go into training camp, as the team will opt to use the roster spot on somebody else. The 24-year-old will now try to find a new landing spot.

Newsome has agreed to a contract with the Chiefs.
Newsome will bring some competition for the team's current punter, Dustin Colquitt. The 24-year-old did not find a team after going undrafted in 2019 but will now look to make an impression in Kansas City.
