Commanders' Josh Kalu: Finds new home
Kalu signed a contract with the Commanders on Monday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Kalu had a workout with the team after practice and showed enough to earn the deal. The 27-year-old appeared in 16 games with the Titans last season, recording 42 tackles (24 solo), five passes defended and an interception. He'll now get to work trying to earn a depth role in Washington's secondary.

Titans' Josh Kalu: Racks up seven tackles
Kalu recorded seven tackles, one pass defended and one forced fumble in Thursday's 27-17 win over the Packers.
Amani Hooker (shoulder) was sidelined for the third consecutive game, giving Kalu the chance to play a significant role in Tennessee's defense. He finished second on the team with seven tackles while playing 64 total snaps between defense and special teams. When Hooker returns, Kalu will return to a reserve role in the secondary.

Titans' Josh Kalu: Back in action Saturday
Kalu (groin) recorded three tackles during Saturday's preseason win against the Cardinals.
Kalu returned to play against Arizona after he suffered a groin injury during Tennessee's previous preseason game Aug. 20. The 27-year-old totaled a career-high 16 tackles while playing primarily on special teams (275 snaps) over 15 games with the Titans last year. Kalu's participation Saturday should further help his case to make the Cardinals' final 53-man roster ahead of fellow safeties Lonnie Johnson, Adrian Colbert and A.J. Moore.

Titans' Josh Kalu: Suffers groin injury
Kalu (groin) is out for the remainder of Saturday's preseason game vs. Tampa Bay, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
The severity of the injury is unclear, but Kalu did walk off the field under his own power, John Glennon of SI.com reports. As he works to recover from the injury, his absence should create increased opportunities for Theo Jackson, Adrian Colbert and Tyree Gillespie.

Kalu missed last season for the Giants after suffering a torn pectoral during the preseason, but he's back with the Titans for 2022. The 26-year-old appeared in 15 games for Tennessee during 2020 and totaled 16 tackles (12 solo) and one forced fumble while primarily playing special teams.

Kalu (pectoral) was placed on injured reserve Monday after suffering a torn pectoral muscle during Saturday's preseason game against the Jets, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports.
Kalu signed with the Giants this offseason after spending his three previous seasons with the Titans. The 25-year-old dealt with COVID-19 protocols at the beginning of training camp but was ultimately able to suit up for New York's first preseason game. Kalu suffered the likely season-ending injury during the contest and will have an uphill battle to make it back on an NFL roster.
