  • Cowboys' Jadeveon Clowney: Finishes season in strong form

Clowney recorded 41 tackles (24 solo), including 8.5 sacks, and added four passes defended, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries over 13 regular-season games for the Cowboys in 2025.

The veteran edge rusher didn't sign with Dallas until September and didn't debut with the team until Week 4, but Clowney was fully up to speed in the second half of the season and racked up 6.5 of his sacks in his final five games. An unrestricted free agent once again this offseason, a return to the Cowboys in 2026 seems unlikely for the 32-year-old mercenary given his track record -- Clowney's played for six different teams over the last seven seasons -- but he's still capable of making an impact in the pass rush wherever he lands. Over the last three years, split between Dallas, Carolina and Baltimore, Clowney's delivered 23.5 sacks in 44 regular-season games.

  • Cowboys' Jadeveon Clowney: Disruptive in Week 17

Clowney recorded four total tackles (three solo), including 1.5 sacks, in Thursday's 30-23 win over the Commanders.

Clowney was able to get to Josh Johnson in the first quarter for a sack before he later combined with cornerback Reddy Steward to sack wide receiver Treylon Burks in the third quarter. Clowney is now up to 35 total tackles (19 solo), including 5.5 sacks, while adding three passes defensed and a fumble recovery over 12 games with the Cowboys this year.

  • Cowboys' Jadeveon Clowney: Good to go vs. Minnesota

Clowney (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Vikings.

Clowney was deemed questionable for Sunday night's game due to a hamstring injury, but he's been officially cleared to return from a one-game absence after going through pregame warmups. He's mostly worked in a rotational role at defensive end this season behind Dante Fowler and Donovan Ezeiruaku.

  • Cowboys' Jadeveon Clowney: Expected to play Sunday

Clowney, who is officially questionable to play against Minnesota on Sunday due to a hamstring injury, is likely to suit up, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Clowney missed last Sunday's game against Detroit due to the hamstring issue, but he was able to follow a pair of limited practices to begin this week with a full session Friday. The veteran defensive end therefore appears set to return to action against the Vikings on Sunday. In the last three games for which he was healthy, Clowney logged a defensive snap share between 43 and 47 percent.

  • Cowboys' Jadeveon Clowney: Questionable for Week 15

Clowney (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

A hamstring injury prevented Clowney from playing against Detroit in Week 14. He opened Week 15 prep with back-to-back practices before logging a full session Friday, which gives him some positive momentum ahead of Sunday's game. If Clowney is unable to play, then Sam Williams and James Houston would both be in line for larger roles at defensive end opposite Donovan Ezeiruaku.

  • Cowboys' Jadeveon Clowney: Still nursing hamstring injury

Clowney (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Clowney was unable to play against the Lions in Week 14 due to a hamstring injury. He's had additional time to recover from the injury, and he would avoid an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Vikings with a full practice over the next two days. The veteran pass rusher has accumulated 27 tackles (15 solo), including 4.0 sacks, three pass defenses and one fumble recovery through nine regular-season games.

  • Cowboys' Jadeveon Clowney: No go for TNF

Clowney (hamstring) is inactive for Thursday night's contest against the Lions.

Clowney was able to log a limited practice Wednesday after opening the week on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, but he'll now ultimately sit out Week 14. In his absence, Sam Williams is a top candidate to step into a starting role on the defensive line versus Detroit.
