Dolphins' Bruce Irvin: Joins Miami for playoff push
The Dolphins signed Irvin to their active roster Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Irivn spent time with Detroit earlier in the season, appearing in just two games and recording 1.0 sack on 42 defensive snaps. The 36-year-old was brought in alongside Malik Reed (practice squad) and Justin Houston (active roster) before the Dolphins' playoff push, as the team is preparing to be without both its top edge rushers in Jaelan Phillips (Achilles) and Bradley Chubb (knee) for the remainder of the season.

Bruce Irvin: Joins Detroit's practice squad
The Lions signed Irvin to their practice squad Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
At age 36, Irvin doesn't have much to prove, so it would be surprising not to see him elevated to the active roster before long. In 11 games with Seattle in 2022, he compiled 28 total tackles including 3.5 sacks.

Seahawks' Bruce Irvin: Joins active roster for Week 9
Seattle signed Irvin from its practice squad to the 53-man roster Friday ahead of Sunday's game at Arizona, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
After Irvin started and played in 72 percent of Seattle's defensive snaps in Week 8 versus the Giants, the Seahawks decided to promote him from their practice squad to the active roster for good. If 2020 second-rounder Darrell Taylor (groin) is forced to miss Sunday's game, the veteran Irvin would likely be in line for another prominent role at the Cardinals.
