Who's Playing

Dallas @ Minnesota

Current Records: Dallas 5-1; Minnesota 3-3

What to Know

The Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings have had some time off and are no doubt ready to hit the field. The Cowboys are on the road again Sunday and play against Minnesota at 8:20 p.m. ET Oct. 31 at U.S. Bank Stadium. Dallas knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Minnesota likes a good challenge.

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Dallas ultimately got the result they were hoping for two weeks ago with a 35-29 win over the New England Patriots. Dallas' victory was all the more impressive since New England was averaging only 18.4 points allowed on the season. Dallas can attribute much of their success to WR CeeDee Lamb, who caught nine passes for two TDs and 149 yards.

Special teams collected 11 points for Dallas. K Greg Zuerlein delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.

Meanwhile, Minnesota also got the better of their opponent in overtime two weeks ago. They won 34-28 over the Carolina Panthers. The victory came about even with Minnesota handicapping themselves with 98 penalty yards. It was another big night for their QB Kirk Cousins, who passed for three TDs and 373 yards on 48 attempts. Cousins ended up with a passer rating of 154.70.

The Cowboys are expected to lose this next one by 3. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a six-game streak of ATS wins.

Dallas is now 5-1 while Minnesota sits at 3-3. A pair of stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Dallas enters the game having picked the ball off 11 times, good for first in the NFL. But the Vikings come into the contest boasting the fewest thrown interceptions in the league at two. These opposing strengths should make for an exciting matchup.
