Well, that didn't take long. Antonio Gates, playing in his first game since serving his four-game suspension at the beginning of the season, scored his 100th career touchdown on Monday night. It took him just one drive to reach the end zone.
Gates is the second tight end in the history of the NFL to reach 100 receiving touchdowns.
On the Chargers' first offensive series, they went right to Gates, as Philip Rivers targeted him three times. All three led to receptions. And the fifth play of the series ended with the touchdown to Gates.
History made. With this catch, @AntonioGates85 joins @TonyGonzalez88 as the only TEs with 100 TD grabs. #MNF http://t.co/sMz5r0d4u4

He's the ninth player to reach 100 receiving touchdowns and leads all active players in that category.
