According to a report from Chris Mortensen of ESPN, the NFLPA player representatives will vote Tuesday on a new drug testing policy.
The two sides haven't reached an agreement, of course, but Mortensen says they're close enough to warrant a vote.
If the vote passes, it would "overhaul the entire drug policy" and also "commence the first HGH testing," Mortensen reported.
According to Mortensen, the new policy would raise the thresholds for marijuana and it would put offseason amphetamine use under the substance abuse policy.
Mortensen reported "numerous owners around the league" complained about the possibility of Wes Welker and Josh Gordon being reinstated.
It remains possible players like Welker and Gordon could end up having their suspensions reduced as a result of the changes in the drug policy.
